My wife is staying in Celebration Villa of Martinsburg. She has a nice room. She seems somewhat content there. The interaction with the staff is pretty good. She seems to like all the people there. She only had one complaint, but that was just the lady that talks too much. There's a courtyard and there's an area where they all sit around and talk and have music. They have Bible studies. A lot of the people that go there seem to take advantage of these. They're all very nice people. However, they're a little expensive.

I toured the Celebration Villa of Martinsburg. The staff wasn't as easygoing. They had the doors locked. It's more like a prison. The people there were not in their right mind. They would just sit in the beautiful lobby with a big fireplace. My mother didn't like it at all because there weren't any people going. I don't know if they have enough people going around and talking to people or anything like that. They just sit them there and leave them there. It's a nice facility. They have nice rooms. They also have restaurant-style dining. It's just that I don't think the staff was as nice. They didn't have any kitchen facilities in the room. It's just a bedroom and a bathroom is all they had. They have activities on the bulletin board, and I think they had bingo. Some people were capable of playing bingo, so they came into the cafeteria to play bingo. They didn't have as many different rooms, so they used the cafeteria in between meals for activities.

Celebration Villa of Martinsburg is an older building, and you have to share a bathroom. You have to learn to deal with a roommate. The staff was friendly. They seemed attentive to the clients. They seemed professional as well. It might be the perfect thing for somebody or the worst thing for somebody because of their personality. This place had a piano that was open for anybody to play, and a resident was playing the piano. They had all kinds of activities on the board for them to do. There were lots of options.

I did a tour of Celebration Villa of Martinsburg. The rooms that are offered are smaller. It's a little less expensive, but it's older and darker; the amount of light has a big impact on mood. The staff were more than hospitable and very good to show us around. They are doing their best, and in this situation, the staffing made up for some of the less advantageous physical conditions. The lady who gave us the tour was exemplary. She almost tipped the scale back to her place because she was so candid, aware, and responsive. She was particularly impressive. I did see the meal in progress. It seemed a little more confused, a little more dense seating, perhaps. It wasn't as commodious as the other facility, but it may have been just that I was there at the time when they were assembling to come in and so many were waiting to be seated. Everyone seemed to be fully engaged and enjoying their experience. I didn't see any moping or people being depressed at all. The room's very small. The option there was a single room that was more like a motel room as opposed to an independent room. For that reason, the limited facilities were smaller and more restricted, so it's downscaled. They had enclosed courtyards, which was good because they could go outside and be safe, not wander off. That was a very nice facility, with a nice garden and garden seats, that kind of thing. They also had a library and a meeting room. They certainly make every effort to provide those options.

Celebration Villa of Martinsburg was good. It's a little bit smaller, but they had a very good staff and good facilities. It's a nice place. They actually let us come over there and stay for half a day. We observed the activities and had lunch. The people were super courteous, super professional, and very nice.

We went to Celebration Villa of Martinsburg. We toured the whole facility, and it's an older facility. To me, though, it was more homier, more comfortable than the other place I went to. It is all on one level. They're kind of in a quiet area at the end of a cul de sac, so they have the whole cul de sac back there by themselves. It's nice and pretty serene. They have a nice, huge, big fireplace in the main common area, and they have a piano in there that some of the residents play after dinner every evening. They have a beautiful dining room. We were there at mealtime, but we did not get to sample the food. A lot of COVID stuff, so we weren't allowed to do that kind of thing. There is like a kitchenette out in the hallways, so they have access to the refrigerators and microwaves. They had a physical therapy room on location, so they could do that to the residents. A lot of the residents had their room doors open. It seemed to be much more friendly in that respect. They have monthly activities, they honor veterans, and they honor birthdays. When we were there, they were having some sort of a tropical night type of activity, so they had bingo and the regular things. It was a warmer, cozier feel in Celebration by far than at the other place.

We visited and met with Bonnie who was extremely knowledgeable and very warm. I hope her superiors realize what a great asset she is to them. We went back again and took our mother to visit in hopes that she will become a resident soon.

It was decent. The rooms were a good size and had different options, but they're sufficient for what we were looking for. They seemed to have quite a few activities, so I was pleased with that as well. The staff was very friendly. They bring physical therapy in to the facility.

I toured for my sister. That was a suitable facility, but there were a lot of residents there. I just feel a little more comfortable with my sister being in a smaller facility. They did have activities. Actually they had my sister participated in an activity when we toured it. They have little get-togethers, they have crafts and Susan likes that kind of stuff. They did invite us for lunch but we passed on that. They did all the right things.
