My dad is at Spring Creek by Bonaventure. The people are fine. He doesn't like it because he wanted to go back to where he was, but they didn't have any room. He has a nice room with a TV and air conditioning. They have an outdoor space out front when you drive up.

The rooms in Independent Living are fine enough, nothing special but adequate (although quite dated). The food is atrocious--frozen fries that were not baked (still frozen, cold), no fresh vegetables or fruits, overcooked and tough meats, etc. The worst, however, is the level of care in both the Independent and Assisted Living. Promises made (they said all the right things) and did less than the minimum. Huge staff turnover so regular paid services were often neglected. They should be ashamed of themselves. I would not recommend to my worst enemy.

I toured Spring Creek by Bonaventure. The people who work there are very friendly. The apartments were clean and nice. It looks like they had a lot of good activities, and I like that they have meals available and house cleaning. The building was clean, but they had a leak problem, and some people had to move out of their rooms. They're still working on that. I did talk to somebody who lives there, and their complaint was the food was not so good, and that seems to be a consistent problem with a few other people. That was the only negative thing. The room is pretty small.

We had a very good tour of Spring Creek by Bonaventure. We were given a tour by Myan, and we had a meal as well. All of our questions were answered, and we really liked what we saw there. It was a beautiful place. The staff and the residents were very friendly. If we were in a position to need a place now, we would seriously consider it. It looked like it was a large facility. It was beautifully decorated, neat, and clean. The food was good. They had different buildings for the different accommodations.

Spring Creek by Bonaventure had an inviting and clean atmosphere. It didn't smell weird. It had a great atmosphere. The people were very helpful. There were a lot of people around, so you could tell that a lot of people worked there, which made me feel good. There were lots of different spaces for the residents to be able to hang out outside of their apartments. Lots of different congregation areas like multiple kitchen areas and the library and everything. I also really enjoyed the outdoor appearance of the facility and the trees that were all around it. It set off off the road a little bit and is very inviting. Jessica was the executive director and she was wonderful and very nice. They had a salon for hair and a restaurant-style area for meals, which is nice. It does not look like a cafeteria. It looks a lot more inviting and they have a gym, so I like that.

We went to Spring Creek by Bonaventure. The memory care section looked good, but it was small. They had good setup with the memory options and all that stuff. It looked like a good facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were single and double rooms, and they were good. The dining area looked nice and clean. People were not too close together, but close enough to be able to talk. Upkeep and maintenance were very good. It's a pretty new facility, so it's in good shape.

Spring Creek by Bonaventure had an impressive activity list. The menu was impressive for meals, and the rooms for both the independent living and assisted living were very well laid out. They made good use of the space available. I only met with the executive director, and she was very pleasant, very outgoing, and willing to answer questions. In her presentation, she covered at least two of the points that I was going to ask (about the menu and the activity list). There's no chapel, but there's a beauty salon. There's a basic heating-cooling unit that accesses all the rooms and then you can get additional cooling or heating with the room thermostat.

I visited Spring Creek from out of state as my mom lives in Bellingham and has entered into the phase in her life of shouldn't be living alone any longer. My tour was given by Todd, the Executive Director, and I was impressed by him as he was able to talk with each staff member regarding what they bring to the residents and wasn't just "selling" the community. I met with each of the onsite Directors and was able to view an activities class in full swing! The apt. I was shown was a 1-bedroom with a full kitchen. What impressed me the most about the apt was the size and layout of the bathroom. It was built for the purpose of someone who may initially be able to get in & out of the shower by themselves, but with enough room near the toilet & shower for an assistant to be on hand if needed. It was also large enough to easily accommodate a wheelchair. Meals are 2x daily with weekly cleaning service that includes the bedsheets being washed & the bed being made up by the cleaning staff the same day. The closet upon entry was also large enough to house a good-sized pantry. With the full kitchen I could definitely see my mom there as cooking is one of her passions. Thank you Todd & staff for the awesome tour!

Spring Creek by Bonaventure wasn't prepared for our visit, even though I had given a lot of information. The food was not good, just mushy and tasteless. They spoke to me rather than our friend who was right there. They talked about him like he wasn't there. We were supposed to be visiting the independent living, but she showed us all of the assisted living first. We did get to see some of the independent living at the end.

My husband has been in Spring Creek by Bonaventure. The people who are working there are really nice and friendly. We're still getting to know them, but I have two of whom I really like. The facility is nice and clean as well. He has his own room and his bed. They've been very helpful to him. It's made up of a young group of people, and they're really caring. He's only been there a little bit, so we're still getting to know the routine, but I got lost in the facility three times already. It's a huge facility, but still a very pleasant place. They also have housekeeping in the rooms once a week. They have people cleaning as the residents go, and they also do their laundry, like the linens and stuff, but I chose to do his own laundry. They just opened their cafeteria yesterday too. The food looks pleasant, and he seems to be eating everything, so it can't be bad. The only thing they don't have is a doctor on call. They have a nurse though, and he's right on everything, and my husband gets his meds at a regular time. The girls definitely keep with his schedule. Now, they're trying to make him a schedule because he's been sort of quarantined because of COVID. I like the community. I can come and go pretty much as I please. They have activities like bingo, Sunday sundaes, and prayer groups. There's a lot of activities during the week. One thing I really liked about it is they have a little theater there, their cafeteria is nice and big, and they've got the table six feet apart, one person on one side, one person on the other. They're really careful about that. It's a very active facility. People are always coming and going. For the long run, and what he's going through, I think the value I get is very reasonable, and it's a real fit for my husband.

My mother has moved into Spring Creek by Bonaventure. The deciding factor was both my mom and her late husband had looked at it before he passed away. He had actually put a $500 deposit down on it, and he had already filled out all the paperwork. It had a lot of amenities, and she likes the apartment. We visited a couple of others, and she liked this one the best. The staff is pretty busy, and she was used to having a twenty-four-hour caregiver in the home when her husband was in hospice. That has been an adjustment for sure; they are in and out really quick. She's not enjoying the food, but she's kind of picky that way, so it's not surprising. Her room is great, spacious, well lit, and has nice natural lighting. Her window looks out on a greenbelt, so she really likes that. Everything is very clean. She has enjoyed the facilities. They have a hair salon, a library, an activity room, a laundry room, and a dining room. They are limited right now, but they do virtual travel where they focus on a country and then do activities about that country. (They have little scavenger hunts and things like that.) Because of COVID, they do social distancing. I feel with this whole COVID piece, it's been difficult to really assess all the amenities that they have to offer, so I feel like it's not quite what it could be, but I think the overall facility is a five. There is a good value for the money that they are offering.

I liked Spring Creek by Bonaventure because it felt very much like a fancy hotel, like you were on holiday while you were there. The residents seemed to be very pleased with what was going on. The smells coming out of the kitchen smelled great, so the food is probably pretty good. The gentleman that I spoke to that gave me the tour was very passionate about his job and we encountered one of the residents walking around and she said she really enjoyed the place. She said she enjoyed the goings on and would recommend it to other people. It felt like the staff was really in touch with the residents and the residents have their own community. Everybody knew each other. The facility was pretty posh.

Spring Creek by Bonaventure does not accept Medicaid. It's a nice facility, and you got everything from retirement to assisted living all the way to memory care. It has a great dining hall, a good menu, and a nice chef. They have a movie room and a beauty shop. It's a really nice facility, and it's large, but we can't afford it. I didn't even know where I was part of the time in the building.

I really only had one objection about Spring Creek, and that is they don’t have computer hook-ups in the rooms. The rooms were very nice. They were one-bedroom apartments, which is what I was looking for. It seemed as though one wing is for independent living, and the other wing is for assisted living; I questioned the salesperson on whether or not that would mean if you needed more assistance you’d have to move. And he said no, not everybody has to move. But it was a little questionable. It really was a nice place, and they are active, but I did have that major objection. The fact that possibly having to move as you need more services, I don’t like that either.

Everyone at Spring Creek was very nice; it’s the freshest and nicest place. It’s the only one in Bellingham that’s very qualified. I had a very nice tour. My mom can’t move in yet as she can’t leave the other place she is in now.

Spring Creek by Bonaventure was a very nice place with a good location, living options, and things to do in the activities room. You could choose the number of meals you want per day. They had different kinds of care, from independent living to Alzheimer's to partial nursing care. We saw nice two-bedroom apartments, one with a bath and one with shower.

Spring Creek can handle Mother’s needs, and it is in her price range. It has super friendly staff. The food was decent, not excellent or fancy, and a little salty. They change the menu every night but have some staples. It has easy access for my parents, and it’s month-to-month, so they could give it a try and check out next month. They had lots of activities going on and provide a shuttle.

I liked everything about Spring Creek by Bonaventure. I did make an appointment. They were very gracious, and gave us a very thorough tour. We looked at the rooms, dining services, recreation facilities, hobby and craft rooms, and libraries. I was very impressed with the entire facility. I met several staff-members. They were all very friendly, and courteous. I also met a couple of residents, and they seemed very happy. The neighborhood was OK. Bakerview is right off of Meridian, and it has everything; Wal-Mart, Costco, Home Depot, and everything known to Man. There's also a big shopping mall there, and hospitals were all right in the area as well.

Spring Creek is really pretty and well thought-out but more expensive than all of the other ones. It’s a really large facility in a pretty nice area and the nicest place I visited. The residents seemed happy, and the staff was really nice.

I liked Spring Creek; it had a little better space. The apartments had a balcony where they could sit and a separated kitchen. It was clean and very nice. Eventually, I think it would be a nice place for me. I think the location is good also. It’s not much for walking around, but there are stores everywhere if somebody needs to buy something.

I liked the fact that Spring Creek is a new facility, so everything is up-to-date and in good condition. The person who showed us around was very helpful and very informative. The rooms were adequate. Everything was kept clean; I didn't see any problems.

spring Creek is a beautiful building with excellent leisure programming, staff who are mostly kind and caring. Dining room issues are on going with long delays in serving meals, especially at dinner time. Staff turnover seems quite high in the few months that my parents have been in residence. Telephone service is an ongoing problem, especially for long distance calls.

I went and looked at the apartments in Spring Creek. They had different kinds of apartments. There was one that was spacious, but it was too expensive for me. The ones that were more affordable were really small. The staff was helpful and friendly. It was near one of the large commercial areas in Bellingham, and the buildings were big and tall. It was a little overwhelming, but it was in a comfortable size. It looked a small city actually. They seemed to have a lot of activities. It seemed to be a place that invested and was proud of their activities. They had assisted living separated from non-assisted living, and of course the prices would be different.
Unhappy customer.

Spring creek has been a very bad experience. The review guidelines forbid me from laying out the details but I would NOT choose Spring Creek for your loved one. As one example my father tried to steady himself on a safety railing and it pulled away from the wall causing him to fall. The management didn't take responsibility. They said it was not meant to help in case of a fall. This is one of very many problems we've had, that along with other serious problems. When my father brought his concerns to them they acted like they didn't want to be bothered.
