I toured Arbor House Fredericksburg. It reminded me of kind of like a Vermont farmhouse. It's a beautiful sight. The only negative is it's on a major north-south road, but you can't hear anything when you're inside the building. I only mentioned that because that's about the only thing I could think of that was a minus. It was spread out. All of the rooms are very nice, and the community rooms where you could hang out were spacious and very friendly. The person who gave the tour was wonderful and very, very friendly. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. The kitchen looked very nice. The dining room area where they were getting ready to serve the meal, looked very nice.

My family has/had my grandmother and father in both Memory Care and Assisted Living at Arbor House Fredericksburg. Since the new ownership/management has taken place the care has had a devasting downturn. It is heartbreaking to see the caring staff being let go and replaced with temps. The caregivers are not taking care of my dad with any means of caring. He is at times needing showers/meds/changing. The camera in main area is suddenly turned off and wifi for in room cameras is suddenly not working. It is with a heavy heart that I will warn to please check new Arbor House Fredericksburg carefully.
