Happy Tenant

The staff is wonderful at the Darby House - from the manager to the cleaning crew. There are activities and the residents are very happy there. My Dad was a resident for four years until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had to be moved to a nearby nursing home. As my Dad's POA, I had many dealings with the staff, which gets a A+ rating. The rooms are large with big windows to let in lots of light. The location is right off 11E so it's very convenient to everything. You can't beat the facility for the money!

I visit frequently and call almost daily to check on my mom. She is very well cared for and enjoys her individual apartment. She especially enjoys all of the activities. She commented tonight how they always make sure her dietary requirements are met. The staff is very good about making sure she has the foods that are recommended by her doctor. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They try to take care of each residents' needs. The activities are age appropriate and lots of fun. They have yard sales, go to baseball games, go out for picnics, ice cream trips, cook outs, tea room events, parades, church services, bingo, and attend visiting entertainment. It is the right place for mom and she really enjoys staying there.

OUTSTANDING RESIDENTIAL LIVING FOR SENIORS. LOTS OF ACTIVITIES, OUTINGS, FRIENDLY AND FAMILY LIKE STAFF. EACH RESIDENT I SPOKE WITH LOVES LIVING THERE AND KNOWS ALL THE STAFF BY NAME. PREFERRED OVER OTHER FACILITIES IN THE AREA FOR PROMOTION OF RESIDENTS INDEPENDENCE. HOME TYPE ATMOSPHERE AND LIVING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE STAFF, NOT BEING TAKEN OVER BY THEM. OUR FRIENDS THAT ARE POA'S LOVE THE PLACE FOR THEIR FAMILY!
