"My mom is there the last couple months and this place is amazing they have a ha dedicated team of personal Aides , the food is amazing and the management keeps the place clean and nice now it with the new management in place things got even batter thanks Toni (she is the administrator) I would recommend this place for anyone that is looking for a place for a close one a place that they could feel at home and bean taking care of Thanks Peter"

"It has been excellent to my mom. We're really happy with where she's at and so is she. My sister who lives near the facility sees her almost every day. All the care has been excellent and the staff is very attentive. The atmosphere is homey and they make it out to be that way. They're really doing a very fine job."

"I toured Juniper Village at Monroeville. It is a nice place, but I prefer another facility. I saw a two-bedroom that was quite nice. The part that I didn't like was, it was very costly. I only met Colleen, she was a nice lady, and she would be the person to talk to. From my understanding, they're having staff problems, and they're trying to bring people in now. That's one of the reasons why we didn't go there."

"Point Pleasant is absolutely beautiful. The staff is fantastic. We hit it off one, two, three. If I could afford it, I'd move in tomorrow, but right now I can't afford that. I am independent right now, but from what I saw, they offer a lot of nice amenities. The place is absolutely beautiful. The people that were there are fantastic. The patients that I saw are very happy. They look very engaged. Big, beautiful dining room. The staff was very caring. If I could, I'd move in tomorrow. They have independent living and they have assisted living. Anybody that I talked to that resided there was quite happy, and the staff is fantastic. I was invited for lunch, but I haven't gone there yet. It was lunchtime and the meal looked delicious. Everybody was eating and seemed very pleasant. I saw the whole list of their activities. They get their money's worth."

"The rooms that they showed us at Graceful Care Living just had a bed in them, and that's it. We knew immediately when we got there that that wasn't what we were looking for. The staff mentioned that they have another section for people who are more independent. However, it was still somewhat the same concept. Instead of being in a room, like a small, single room, there were two beds. There was no television in those independent rooms. You have to go out of the room to watch television. It was that type of atmosphere, and my mother doesn't want that. She wants something that's like a small apartment, where she can live in that small space and be able to care for herself. I liked the atmosphere. I liked the staff. They're very nice and very accommodating as we went through the tour. My mom asked questions, although she didn't ask very many because she knew, and I could tell just from how she was withdrawn that she was like, "No, this is not going to work for me." I said it to the guy. I said, she's a lot more independent. She can get around fairly well, but this is not for her. She still needs to be in her own place where she can take care of herself. The only thing that she needed was somebody to help her, like to come in and help her to make sure that she's taking her meds. I didn't smell anything. It was very clean."

"A friend from church lives at The Residence at Whitehall. Her room is beautiful. She is given three meals a day. She has her puppy there. They clean every so often. I'm not sure how often, but she says they come in and clean. She doesn't complain about the staff. The people I met all said hello; they're friendly. They have some activities. They have bingo and a few trips. She is very satisfied. My friend does not complain about the food. She said it was okay. The cost of living there was very expensive. She had to move from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom because she couldn't afford it anymore. They raised the rates quite a bit."

"My mother moved in. It's beautiful, she receives great attention, and she finds the food to be delicious. Her room is beautiful, she engages in spiritual activities where they have mass and communions for her, they have volunteer activities which she enjoys, and physical activities like chair yoga. They have Wii bowling, Bingo, cocktail parties, and entertainment. The staff has been very kind and attentive to her, they check in with her to make sure she's OK, they keep her room immaculate, and they're helpful with her needs. They deliver her medications and arrange her doctors' appointments."

"My mom is in Whitetail Springs Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's a very nice facility. It is clean and well-staffed. They have activities that they actually do unlike other places that say they have activities, but don't do anything. The care is 100 percent better overall, compared to where she was. The food is standard. It has a nice variety and seems to be a decent diet. It's unlike some of the other places that serve them chicken nuggets. They have what they call a sensory spa, which is a room with different things all happening at once. They try to get their senses going. They have a lot of nice outdoor areas that are all enclosed and gated. They have a nice dining hall and a nice activitiy room."

"We moved my parents into an assisted living facility a couple of months ago called Paramount Senior. It is both independent and assisted living. It was a nice fit for them; they are in one unit together, but one is independent and one needs assistance. I think it’s a pretty long run operation; my only concern is the turnover with the staff. "

"Arden Court was also very nice especially for Alzheimer’s patients. The facility itself was very good; my problem is that it’s a little too far away. The rooms seemed to be spacious, staff seemed to be very nice, and the residents were very satisfied. "

"My mom is at Overlook Green. The layout is very nice. It's actually a converted elementary school. They have all the common areas and dining room in the center, which makes it nice. They can go from the dining room to the main room where they have television and next to that they have a library and an activity room. They have full-time activity coordinators who do a really nice job and have a lot of religious opportunities with rosary, Bible study, and worship service on-site, which meant a lot to my mother. They take you down to a very nice dining room and have very good food with lots of choices. They have on-site physical therapy and a visiting counselor. They have doctors that roam and if Mom needs an x-ray, they have a mobile x-ray unit that comes to the site and does x-rays. They're really a good bargain. We're so pleased with them and everything they do. "

"My wife’s mother was at Mount Vernon for a short while. The facilities weren’t bad. The dining area was good and clean. "

"Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was beautiful, and the people were nice. I saw a room in the independent living that was fully furnished. They gave me all the details and showed me different rooms in assisted living and what they offer in the dining area. The staff I met was very nice; one lady spent almost the whole time with me, and another girl was excellent, gave me all the details, and got back to me. They couldn't have been nicer."

"Harmony at Harts Run is a beautiful place. It was clean, and the people were friendly. The staff was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about the place. I didn't have an opportunity to taste their food, but the dining area looked great. They have a lot of activities. They have a happy hour. They have a bus that takes them out to different places. They have a pool table. My father is a pool shark, so that interests him."
