My husband moved to Parkside at Glenwood. They have been helpful, like contacting me when anything goes wrong and keeping me updated on how he's doing. The facility is nice. They're starting to redo the second floor right now. The dining area is nice. They have outings once in a while and different activities to keep them busy. It's a little expensive, but there's not much I can do about it. I liked that you're able to come and go and if you want to take out your family member you can do that.

My husband has moved into Parkside at Glenwood. So far, I'm very pleased with it. The food looks okay. My husband has a very nice room. They keep it clean. They are doing some renovations. LECOM has purchased it. And that's one of the things that sold me on it because LECOM is a medical facility here. They have well-planned activities. I've checked those and I've been there with some of them. They have a drum activity where the people keep in time with the music, bake cookies, have a couple of guest speakers, and exercise and stuff together, too. The staff there is fantastic. It's worth it. I've paid more before, but this place is worth it. It's a small community, too.

What I liked least about Parkside at Glenwood was the price. It looked like a nice place. It seemed to be well maintained. The rooms were decent-sized. They looked nice and pretty well laid out. They have games, and they do puzzles.

I've been to Parkside at Glenwood almost every day since my brother moved in there. I looked at several places before and financially, this was just the right one for him and it's not in the middle of town or anything like that. It's secluded. It's a nice area. Like most of these places, he's got a generous-sized room. He's got room for a couple of chairs, a couple of tables, a chest of drawers, and a bed. Then, of course, his bathroom is easily accessible with a walk-in tub, which is what he needs. He has a nice big window with a nice view, which some of the other places didn't have anything near that. The staff are very compassionate and caring people. That was also a big draw. All the other facilities had very caring people, but this one, they are looking out for their residents and they want to make sure that he's taken care of. They're very helpful people. I've seen the menu and I've listened to my brother about their meals and he said it's pretty good. He can have a good, healthy breakfast, even better than I have. He'll have sausage and French toast. Some days, it's eggs and sausage, then some beef chips and gravy with potatoes for lunch. I haven't seen a lot of the dinners, but they're pretty good as well and he's eaten pretty good. They give him three meals a day and each time they have a meal, you have two choices. It's not bland and every once in a while, they have a pizza and you can have it if you want. They have a pretty good variety of foods for their breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was impressed with that. He has participated in the activities. He's come in third place with cornhole, and that's pretty good.

I did place my husband here. I'm very satisfied with them. I'm very satisfied with the staff. The room is very spacious. It is furnished. I haven't tasted the food, but it smells OK, and it looks OK on the plate. They have bingo, reading, religious services, craft activities, and music groups and they also arrange daytrips for the residents.
