In the beginning, I was nervous and scared to start therapy because my body felt weak and I felt like I couldn't do anything. My therapists worked so well with me and empowered me to get stronger so I could improve my health and return to my home. The therapy team here is the best, I HIGHLY recommend them. I'm so grateful for Lindsay, Dan, Jerome, Brittney, Marjorie and Sonaya. I got really close with the staff but I would only want to come back to say hello!

I was at Elkins Crest for about a month for physical Rehabilitation and it was a terrible experience. The nursing staff was very neglectful in answering my call bell and some were rude. The beds are very old and outdated and extremely uncomfortable. For practically the entire time I was there the social worker was out and when I finally did see the social worker, she was no help to me whatsoever. I felt she had a very dismissive attitude. I was very disappointed with Elkins Crest because I thought it would be a much nicer facility in appearance and level of care.

ONE NIGHT OF HORROR....Please DO NOT take your family member(s) to this nasty dump! They have an infestation of mice and bedbugs. The bedbugs were eating my loved one alive. The mice ran around during the day as if they were the pets. The food was served on a plate cover that was molded, the furniture was picked from the garbage with torn, tattered and stained; overall the place smells incredibly bad so much so that we were given headaches. We removed our loved immediately, after the administrator used profanity towards us for addressing these issues.

The rooms are a nice size, the front staff is nice, the food is ok. The nurses at the station are nasty, (f your loved one can walk then is ok to stay there )the nurse will go into my love one room see her pampers on the floor( she was unable to walk ) will NOT pick them up she had to smell her own pee, her commode was always full till I got there, her room phone never worked, her bathroom flooded they fixed but they never clean the shower or the toilet and was poop water all over, some the nurses don't care with the exception of a few that actually care for the residents there. if your loved one can't walk don't leave them there please take them to another rehab,

My Dad stayed in several rehab facilities before he passed away last year and this was by far the worst of the bunch. He was often ignored by the staff, and once when I came to visit I found him almost in a diabetic coma his sugar had gotten so low. I had to get someone to help him. Unless you can stay with your family members 24 X 7, don't leave them here. My brothers basically broke him out on a Saturday morning - we had had enough of that neglect. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

A family friend had a stay in this nursing home, and the entire experience was a very unhappy unpleasant one. She would ask for assistance, and be left unattended more times than not. One of the more horrific situations I need to mention is how theft seems to be prevalent in this facility. This woman had little to start with and had nothing expensive...but even items iimportant to her which gave her a little sense of something belonging to her wound up dissappearing. This happend a couple of times, but the one I clearly remember is when two knit tops vanished from her belongings. The staff seems to not really want to put effort into the residents, this was even clear when a visitor was there....thus, imagine how unsettling it is when a resident is there on their own. The lady has since been moved. I would not at all recommend this facility!
