My brother moved into Birdsboro Lodge last August. It's a nice place. I've never met a nasty person. It's very, very nice, other than what they charge, and I don't think they charge everybody the same price. He smokes cigars -- they allow him to smoke cigars -- and he just had a birthday on Monday. They had a big cake for him. They're very strict with COVID. Every person has his own bedroom and bathroom, and that's what he likes; he doesn't like sharing. The staff is very nice and very pleasant. They go out of their way for the patient. He loves the food. It's family-style normally, and if you want more, you can have more. When he went there, he was a small/medium, now he's up to an extra large. They don't have a smell there, it's like you just walk into a home. They just gave me a book all about him from Christmas that they made, and he's always doing something. They play bingo, and to celebrate Halloween, they paint pumpkins. My only complaint is the price.

I recently had to place my mother in a center that she would be safe and get additional care such as medication, meals, etc. This care home is a HOME run by a husband and wife (the wife is an RN). My mother has been there a little over a month and she loves it. It is a hidden gem that I found on my own through the internet and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It is located in the country and with ample places to sit outside. They do arts and crafts and play games such as bingo and the price is right--mom loves these games.
