"The last facility my mom where was Skylark. I tasted the food, and it was good. If you got an Alzheimer’s patient or family member -- like my mom was I want to add -- put her in Skylark. Because of the clients that they were working with -- like my mom was in the later stages of Alzheimer’s -- they had several patients like this, and they did well about it. The living is environment is homey, good furniture, a nice little library, TV, and church services. "

"I visited Pear Valley Senior Living. It was OK. It gave me an insight into what you could expect in memory care, and so I've decided to go with in-home care for a while. It was clean, and they were nice. I didn't take notes. I just went in, talked to them, looked around, and left. It was more of an institution, but more of a caring institution. For the short time I was there it looked clean, and they were nice."

"I toured Lakeland Senior Living. It was nice and clean. In the apartment, I didn't get a chance to go in and walk around or anything. Just kind of view from the door, other people were occupying them, but they seemed nice. They were small but nice. The staff was pleasant and informative. They answered all my questions."

"My sister and I visited a year ago this March. She had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We thought at one time we would need to place her in a home for recovery. However, the end came on very fast, she was unable to take care of herself. Morrow Heights was a blessing. They helped us move her in on February 4th. The entire staff was caring and supportive. Their constant vigilance to her needs along with the caring way of making her comfortable was amazing. We were blessed to have her in this home for her final days. I would recommend this home for your loved ones. The home is clean and well maintained. I thank the entire staff for the support and caring we received."

"I went to look here. The staff members were very friendly, and everyone acknowledged us. The facility was just a little bit older, but it was clean and nice. They were redoing the apartment since the resident had moved out. They were putting in new flooring and paint, so it was nice. They had an exercise class going on in their activity room. They had a nice yard and some gardening areas. They also had a bus to take residents shopping. They had a nice, big dining room."

"My father liked here the best because of the location. It had buses that would take the residents to the doctors' appointments. Meals were provided, and they had bus trips, too. The rooms were clean, had good windows for a lot of light, and it was like a small apartment. There was a walk-in shower instead of a tub."

"I did a tour of The Bridge Retirement and Assisted Living. It wasn't as clean, and the people didn't seem as friendly. We just didn't have a good feeling there at all. We didn't think that it would be for us or my sister. The rooms that we looked at needed a needed cleaning. They have a washer and dryer for the people that are in each apartment. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. The one bedroom was okay, the size was fine, but it needed cleaning. It hadn't been cleaned yet by the last people that lived there. But the studio would be the one that we would be looking at. it was small, but it was doable as far as that goes. It needed some work, but it had a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer. we just weren't satisfied with that place at all, it was more money than the other facility. I didn't feel that the staff knew a whole lot about what she was doing. She's the receptionist at the desk. I didn't think she knew a whole lot about the facility itself as far as the living apartments and stuff, but she showed them to us. They have a lot of activities and amenities and a full calendar. You can do bingo or whatever, and they have tours you can take from the facility. They will take you to your doctor's appointments and stuff like that, but only on Mondays. If you have a doctor's appointment on another day, then you've got to find transportation. You're only allowed one meal a day at that place, you have to pay for your meals. Either go out and have your meals, or you can pay for a meal at that place. The dining area looks nice. It was clean, and there were a few people when we were there, that was about dinnertime. The facility needed a lot of work. Some maintenance really needed to be done and things."

"I would recommend Northridge Center. I like everything about it; the rooms, food, the way they kept the rooms, the way they kept it closed, and all of this. She had nothing to do except what she wanted to do. Unfortunately, it was on the highway there, and in the later stages she is going out the door and across the street. Send anyone that wants to be in a nice quiet facility as everything you would ever want there. They could have as much oversight as they want. They had games, they went to places, they went out to the stores, church, and they have people come in for entertainment. "

"My husband stayed in Rogue Valley Manor for rehab. It was a very nice facility. It was homey. The staff was very caring and attentive. They offered everything. They had a social director come around and ask about his interests and kind of interview him as to what he would be interested in. They would bring ice cream carts around make sundaes and give ice cream to the residents. They did a lot when he was up there. He did quite a bit. They had a rec room where they could just go and relax, and view the scenery because it's way up on a hill and they can see out over the valley. It had puzzles out for the people. They had a little plant cart there with plants growing in it for those who wanted to do that sort of thing. The dining area was very nice and the food was very good quality."

"I visited Anna Maria Creekside quite often while my grandfather was living there. This facility seems bustling and full of energy and life every time I visit. I was always greeted with warm, friendly smiles and helpful attitudes from the staff members and the residents are always happy and willing to open up and talk with me about the facility and themselves.Residents all seemed to be quite happy and well taken care of. One thing I remember was that the food was quite good, better than I had expected. The living quarters that my Grandfather lived in were quite nice. Anna Maria Creekside had most of the amenities that he wanted. The residents at Anna Maria Creekside all get along well with one another, it really is very home-like and the staff and residents act more as a family than merely just staff and residents. My Grandfather immediately found company to his liking and spent much of his time with other residents. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone, or their family members. "

"The only reason this review is not a 1 star is that some of the staff at Hearthstone do really care, and do their best to take care of their patients. I'm a service connected disabled Veteran and was at this facility for over 3 weeks post reconstructive surgery. The food was poor. The building itself really needs to just be torn down. I had an ant infestation in my room, and sleep was very, very difficult to come by in a 2 person room. Again, some of the staff are there for the right reasons, others are there because... I don't know really... They had no business being there. For instance I had a CNA put a thermometer in my mouth with NO PROTECTIVE COVERING ON IT. I gagged and nearly vomited I was so disgusted. I personally would NOT RECOMMEND this facility to anyone who has other options. I would not want my grandmother to live out her time on earth in such a delapated run-down facility, with only a hand-full of real professionals there to administer quality care. "

"My mother was in the independent living community of Northridge Senior Living in Medford. I think they kept a good close eye on all of their residents. If they need extra things, like someone bringing in medicine and checking their vitals and stuff, that was offered to them. They had all different types of rooms, some with washers and dryers and some without. They brought in a lot of nice entertainment, and if you didn't show up, they'd go look for you. They had bingo and music coming in. They would take the residents on weekly little drives around town to kind of get them out and about. They would offer to take you to your doctor's appointments and groceries, and things like that. There were also a lot of nice residents who lived there, and they would keep an eye on each other. They would even call me if they felt something wasn't right, so I could go and check on my mom. I was very pleased with their service. I know they have an exercise room, but my mom couldn't do that anymore, so I don't know if they have anything scheduled for things like that. They had movie nights and a pool table. They had puzzles sitting out where you could stop. They had a great little library. Unfortunately, my mom didn't participate in a lot of that. She did bingo regularly, though, and liked that. I understand when you're dealing with a lot of people, you can't individually give them what they want when it comes to food. They do give them a big variety to pick from. When I would go visit my mom, it would only cost me $5 to eat there, and I thought that was great. I always thought their food was good, too. Every time I went there, the place was very neat and very clean. The maintenance always took a long time to get things handled, but I think everything else was done very well."

"We took a tour of the Springs at Veranda Park, but they did not take my father. It was a good tour, the person was very good, and very knowledgeable, but it was more expensive than the other places. They have a balcony which would have been very good for him, and it went all around the dining area. It was really pretty. They have several different dining areas, they do exercises, they have movie nights, and they have a bus for people to go on appointments. They have a professional chef, and the facilities were very clean, very pretty, and very well kept."

"I visited Horton Plaza, and they were very nice and very cordial. I am waiting to go back on the second tour to see what they're doing. I want to just get more in depth with what they're involved with, rather than just a normal overview tour. They had a variety of food, but the meat on their lemon skewers was very tough. The room that I went in to check out wasn't up to snuff. It needed to be upgraded, as well as the kitchen and the cupboards. The lady who took me on the tour was so nice that she wrote down everything that I didn't care for. She said that they're very good about making changes if you tell them. I liked Horton plaza for that reason because they care about upgrading."
