Victoria House

We toured Victoria House. It was very clean. The staff there was very helpful and very attentive to my mother's needs, and everything that we saw, the size of the room, the dining area, and everything, was kept up very well. We dealt with the administrator, we didn't have any other interaction with other staff members. The overall upkeep of the exterior and the convenient layout of the interior are not overly big. In one of the places we did go to, my mom felt that she would get confused about where she was. It was so big, so she didn't want to go to that one. So the smaller size and everything made her feel a lot more comfortable wanting to go there.

My father-in-law was at Victoria House. The short time he was there, they seemed very caring. The staff was very good with him. The facility was very clean and neat, and we felt comfortable with it. We were pleased with them. When we talked to them about different issues, they were very accommodating and caring.

We got our mother in Victoria House, and we're very pleased with it. They seem to be doing a good job, and she's doing as well as possible. The facility is very nice. She's a wanderer, so she's in the dementia ward. The food is good, and she seems to like it. The dementia ward is excellently laid out. When she comes out of her room, she's inside of a nurses' station and with the staff. It's very open and airy once you come out of your room. They have transportation.

We saw one that we really liked called Victoria House and I can't say enough good things other than their price is a little bit high. They have beautiful people. The residents were very happy which was very important for me. They have two or three styles of apartment. One is with a living room, a bedroom area, and a kitchenette. Their middle grade rooms have a short dividing wall in between bedroom and living area, so it's like a split room. They have a smaller kitchenette and this room costs less. We had lunch there and the food was very good.
