"My mom was in Boyce Manor only for a month. They were very pleasant and very nice. Her room was pretty. The experience was pretty good. It was right next door to a hospital. "

"We moved my grandmother last week into Heritage Village Nursing Center. We are very happy with it. One of the reasons was the location, because the POA for Granny has moved to a town called McAlester, so this location was best for us because of where the POA is so she can be checked on quite often. They're very caring people. The food is good. The staff seems wonderful. Everything is clean. Just very good first impressions. She has only been there a week, but we are liking it well. They are renovating some of the rooms. There are still places that need to be renovated, but we see that there is a process that they are undergoing right now. It's very clean. I like the way the layout is with large sitting rooms for the families to come in and visit with our loved ones. They have better dining rooms than we had seen before. There are two dining rooms for the nursing home part. I really like it. A lot of their staff have been there for many years. They have a calendar of activities, and the way it looks, there is something almost every day. I feel like we get what we're paying for. Comparatively, with the last place where we had my grandmother, we had to pay extra for certain things, and Heritage Village has things already included. There is a lady on staff to do haircuts and nails, and we don't have to pay for that. I've been told that we won't have to pay extra for my grandmother's physical therapy or occupational therapy. It's all included in the price. It is less expensive than the place where we were, where we had a bad experience. I think we're doing well with what we pay for."

"When we arrived, my husband had fallen and broken his hip. After it was set, he didn't know anything or his family. Seminole Care & Rehab got busy and had him three therapist; speach, OT & PT. He was already in therapy when I arrived the next morning. They had him talking in no time. In a couple of days, there was a therapist on each side of him helping him walk. They were very patient with him. He had a bath every other day and beds were stripped as often. The aides were so sweet to him and came down to check on him every shift that they worked. A few times, he staggered down the hall at night and an aide would talk him into watching a movie and eating popcorn. What nursing home does that? We were in a double room for awhile, but when a private room became available in that wing, they gave it to us. I was not only allowed to stay from 11 am to 8 pm, but they fed me lunch and supper as well. The residents seemed to enjoy a variety of activities, day and night. The nursing home was always clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful in telling me what I needed to do when we went home. Their goal was to get him well enough so that he could go home as that was where he wanted to go. I will always be grateful to Seminole Rehab in getting my man well. Thank you so much!"

"Our family is totally happy with Seminole Pioneer. Our family member is very content and their health has stabilized since moving here. The administration, medical staff and maintenance dept., and support employees are professional and an asset to the facility. When we visit our family member we all notice improvements on the facility to make Siminole Pioneer a safe place to call home for our loved one. "

"I volunteered a lot in high school and played piano here and went to church services, Christmas caroled there some winters. I like this place. My grandmother lives here and she does not seem to mind it. They have lots of activities and the facilities are easy to get to. "

"The staff at Regency went above and beyond to make my moms short stay a vacation instead of a dr ordered nightmare. My mom went in depressed and was completely convinced that she was going to be completely incapable of self care again. She heard too many stories of broken hips being a first class ticket to a permanent nursing home stay. Nothing I said could convince her that this was temporary and just a stepping stone back home. The very next morning I was ready to go visit and try to brighten her day and was surprised to see her cutting up, laughing, smiling and back to her bubbly self. She was eating lunch and she was bragging on how good the food was and that’s surprising because my mom is one of the absolute pickiest eater I’ve ever known. Every phone call and visit that followed was the same as that initial visit and she really was having a blast. I had the pleasure to meet her 4 favorites that I absolutely adore too now. We will miss them but I am eternally grateful for the care and love they gave my mom. Noah, Debbie, Meagan and Cassandra (the spelling may not be correct) are the absolute best! The whole staff is amazing but those 4 will forever be in my moms heart and I hope to see them again soon to update them on moms progress at home and let her give them big hugs. Thank you Regency and thank you Noah, Debbie, Meagan and Cassandra for everything you do."

"I wouldn’t bring my family member here the staff is always short their is too many nurses that don’t know anything about a patient. Everyone is always busy talking to eachother. Most of the time I’m having to take it upon myself and give my sister a bedbath because the care isn’t taken care of always. It’s a good place for physical therapy but overall it’s not a good place for one to want to leave your family members to live in. "

"Jan Frances is a decent nursing home, but it is not the most modern or best facility available. My grandmother resides here, and she is cared for competently but not in any outstanding fashion. Some of the staff make the most of what they have and are quite friendly (such as the breathing therapist my grandmother sees), but some are not excited to be there and unafraid to show it. I would not really recommend this facility unless you or your loved one cannot afford a better nursing home. I do not think you need worry about being utterly neglected or badly cared for, but, at the same time, there are most pleasant places to spend the golden years of one's life. I have not seen much sign of social activities at Jan Frances. It also has a bit of a rundown appearance to it. It is, I believe, the least expensive nursing home in the city of Ada, so it is just a basic facility. My grandmother is dependent on government assistance to afford it, but, if you can afford better for you or your loved ones, it would be worth your time to check out other facilities in the area. "

"My mother was in Shawnee Colonial Estates last year. She was not unhappy there by any means, but the food was horrible and the cleanliness was bad. The facility was really old. It had the Jack and Jill bathroom, and she couldn't take herself to the bathroom because of the way it was built. That one wasn't a good one for her. I went to the dining room with her and they had some sort of a sewage problem going on there. It smelled like they had sewage everywhere. It was horrible."

"My Grandfather was diagnosed with dementia at age 73. He would often forget where he was and who he was. He sometimes became angry and unruly. The staff at golden Rule was very patient and accommodated his needs with care. They were always available when I had questions and took the time to put my mind at ease knowing they were well trained and cared about my grandfather's feelings as well as his health. The facilities were clean and I did appreciate the events they had available to my grandfather. I loved seeing him during the holidays and the Facility was warm and inviting. They even paired my grandfather with another elderly woman and they became fast friends. They truly understood the meaning of quality of care. I would recommend this Nursing home to anyone who wants their loved one to be taken care of in a professional and gentle manner. "

"I moved my Dad into Shawnee Care Center a little over two years ago. His room is always clean. The staff is caring and patient. For the most part, I feel he is well taken care of which is so important and a relief. The Center is good to call me if anything happens or changes. The building is older but has been well maintained. There is longevity with several staff members."
