"Friday night ( 5 May 2017) at 6:30 I got a call on my cell phone from a night nurse where my Mom resides at Community Springs and she had noticed some infection on her lower ankle and she was informing me that a doctor needed to look at it - there was one in Boliver which would take an ambulance to take her there and I boo - hooed on that one!! An ambulance ride for my mother would make her hysterical - the nurse assured me that "she would make sure my Mom got to the hospital one block away from the Rest Home I asked her to call me later, which she did. At about 8PM she called me and said she had been looked at and prescribed some antibotics and I need to sign some paperwork, driving to town Eldorado Springs I saw my Mom and a "day time nurse" I had seen before standing with her - Covered with a blanket I wheeled her outside to take her that one block back to the Community Springs. , I found out the nurse's name was "Juanita" and she had came to work at 6 AM - it was 9 PM and she had been there all day - and she had made the decision to take her to the hospital and stay with her since she becomes frightened quite easily! No one else was available and her decision to STAY OVER and help my mother displayed noteworthy leadership. Wheeling her in the front door, she checked with the night time nurse and I sat with my Mom til she was ready to be placed to bed - watching "Juanita" walk down the long hallway at 9:30PM waving and smiling at me, finally going home after a very long day! You cannot say enough about nurse's and their giving attitude! Postscript: I found the hospital on the internet and wrote a very long review on the care and attention with this nurse's sound leadership she displayed helping my mother in her time of need. My mother has been a resident of Community Springs only since January 2017 - and I am impressed with their caring attitude given to my mother and the other residents who live there. "I was thrilled to find Barone Care Center when looking for a place for my father to live. He was in about stage 6 of the Alzheimer's disease. After caring for him and my mother, who was also in ill health, for two years, we could no longer give adequate care for him. It broke my heart to have to find someplace else for my Dad, but knew it was the only way. After many months of searching, I finally heard about Barone Care Facility. They are dedicated to only Alzheimer's patients and the facilities, staff and care is superb. They believe Alzheimer's patients behavioral problems are no "bad" and treat each one as a loved individual. They also can accommodate patients until the end of their life, so they do not have to transition to other facilities. So many other wonderful things, all I can say is they are truly different, and it was the ONLY place that I felt comfortable leaving Dad. His behavior improved and was doing well. He passed away from nonalzheimer's related illness. "

"When I visited my elderly friend at this nursing home, the first this I noticed was the friendliness of the staff. I have worked in several nursing homes myself, and believe that the good-natured, loving staff is beyond compare. Also, as I made my way around the relatively small facility, I couln't help but notice how clean the facility was and how friendly the residents were, as well. The nurses are always on top of things and saw to the needs of my friend quickly and carefully. I asked her how she liked living there and she said, "It's just fine. Especially in summer. I love feeding and watching the ducks." I got to see her quite often, and she enjoys my visits more than anything! Overall, I would say this is an excellent home for your loved one if you want them to be treated with dignity and respect. "

"My father was a resident of Truman Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. His stay there was very short, but it was a blessing. We weren't really there long enough to have any bad reviews during the time he was there. Everyone was great. They call me with updates on things that they thought I might need to know. The times we got to go, everyone was very kind and caring. We were very pleased with everything that we got from them. They were a nice staff. It's older, but it was very clean. It was daily care for him was what he was able to get at that point. In the short time we were there, they did an excellent job. In every place we looked, their value was way better than any place else and for the care he got. It had a smell of urine, but since it's an older nursing home, I don't think you can get rid of that probably. But other than that, it was clean, and everyone was very nice. I don't know how they could have improved, at least for the service we got. They did an excellent job. "
