"I visited Ecumen Lakeshore, they have independent and assisted living and memory care. The assisted living and memory care all have their individual apartments. The apartments in assisted living had all sorts of bells and whistles, like their own temperature control, food, and cleaning. They had a gym, a dining room, a little grab-and-go kitchen, and a meeting room. The staff who took me on the tour was very nice and professional. When we were there, they were getting ready for coffee hour with cookies. They also had a chapel and exercise program which anybody can go to. I also saw them doing yoga."

"My mom is now a resident of Aftenro. She has been there for two weeks now. It's a board and care facility. It has been excellent. They have been communicative, very helpful, and attentive to needs. In the age of COVID, I haven't even been in the building, but my mom apparently likes it. She said the food is wonderful. She likes her room. The value for money is reasonable and average."

"My mother recently spent three weeks at the Benedictine Living Community of Duluth. I was impressed with them. I remember I had looked previously at some reviews of the place that weren't too good, but when she was hospitalized a little bit, it was recommended to have her do the rehab there. I thought the care was good. Everything was clean, the food was good, and the people were very kind. The staff was excellent. They're very caring and very competent. My mother had a nice room to herself with lots of light, and it was very well kept. There was a beautiful courtyard/garden area; my mother was working on walking, and they took her out there for her physical therapy. So, the facility was excellent. We were given the menu for a couple weeks ahead of time in case we wanted to take something out, but there was nothing to take out because everything looked good. Sometimes my mother doesn't have that much of an appetite, but it was all food that was appealing to her."

"While any occasion visiting a facility of this nature is naturally not a purely happy one, I will say that I enjoyed visiting this facility to see my grandmother. The staff was always friendly, helpful and understanding, and the building itself was very nice. I could tell that while my grandmother was not thrilled to be away from her home, she did have plenty to keep her occupied, and the staff treated her well. There were a number of different activities going on that kept the residents entertained, and they were obviously well cared for. While my grandmother was only there for a short period of time, it was nice to see her being taken care of until she could return to her own home. "

"Viewcrest provided my husband with a safe facility but more important to us was the wonderfully kind & caring staff he had taking care of him. He was an Alzheimer's patient and he fell in love with 'his girls' every day - his smile told us he was happy in his new home. The food was good, facility provided everything he needed, staff was always willing to help with whatever we needed & our family was content to spend a lot of time in an area that could be depressing, but was instead the best place to be with 'Boppa'.
