"My mother entered Oakmont when she was 89 and died their a week after turning 93. The facilities were always clean when I visited, The staff was both professional and concerned. I would receive phone calls anytime they needed to change her medication or if there were any other health issues. While placing a loved one in a nursing home is not a task that anyone wants, you can rest your mind that your family member will be properly cared for. I would choose Oakmont for myself, if it was needed. "

"My mother-in-law is staying in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation for long-term care and likes it there. They do her cooking and do her laundry. The staff is fine. I haven't gotten upset with any of them. The facility is nice, and her room is fine."

"My dad fell and broke his tail bone. He was 83 years old. He went to the hospital they sent him to a nursing/rehab. place to get him able to walk again with a walker or cane. This place they sent him to worked with him for 6 weeks. Then said he would never be able to walk with a walker or cane. The way our house is made dad really needed to be able to use a walker or cane in order to come home. Otherwise he would of had to of gone to a nursing home to live. I decided to try a different nursing/rehab home to see if they could help him. He was there for only 4 weeks and was walking with a cane. I can't say enough about the care the Wurtland nursing home gave to my dad while there. Had they not taken him in and worked with him he would not have been able to come home plus, they had no long term care beds available at that time so, the one place I could of put him was not a very nice place and I really didn't want to put dad in that other nursing home. Wurtland just took a chance on dad and worked a miracle on him. It is a small nursing home but, their rehab is much better than the first place the hospital sent dad to and that one was one of the newest nursing homes in our area and said to be the best. Well, I know that is not true. Wurtland is the best as far as I am concerned. This was two years ago and my dad has since passed away. But, they gave him a little more quality of live time by teaching him to walk and allowing him to get to come home to die. I really thank them for that. "

"Staff - they are well, always willing to help family and residents, prompt, and multiple types of staff including: rehabilitation, nurses, aides, dietary, and administration. There does not seem to be a staffing shortage at this facility like many others that I have seen.Amenities - Pro: Many activities, security systems on the doors, wifi, beauty palorCon: All the rooms are co-habitated and limit space for family visitation. "

"I never wanted to put my mom in a nursing home, fought it for years… when she could no longer take care of herself we chose Heritage Center. She was on the TCU floor- I found it to be surprisingly clean. Her room was a little small but they moved her to a much larger room as soon as one came available. She quickly made friends with her roommates and fell in love with all the staff she came in contact with. I was finally able to sleep at night knowing that my mom was both happy and safe in her new surroundings… she spent the last months of her life with her Heritage family and for the love they showed her I will be eternally grateful…"

"Thank you to the great staff who provided love and compassionate care to our grandmother in her last days. The staff was so kind and attentive to her needs. The Administrator and Director of Nursing was very accessible if we had questions or needed assistance. "

"My sister was at the St. Mary’s Hospital in their rehab section. The care was good. St. Mary’s is a good place. My sister seemed to be enjoying herself when I went down there on the day she was released. She was having lunch then, and she said the food was really good. They were very caring. They actually asked me and my niece if we wanted to have lunch too, and they were going to bring us some plates for lunch. To me, it looked just like any hospital rooms, and it was clean. She said she was doing well, and they continued the therapy after she went home."

"I loved the treatment this facility gives to my family members. All of the workers were nice and helped in any way possible. There were many activities daily that they do in order to work with the patients in their facility. They also had regular church services to those who wanted to attend. They made everyone feel like they were at home, not in a nursing home. Almost all the workers knew each and every patient by name, in which to me shows how much they care to learn this information. When the time came that my family got worse off they done whatever they could in order to make their last moments a great and comfy moment for them. I appreciate how nice all the staff was and I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a caring staff to take care of their family. There was nothing that happened that I can think of that gave anything negative about this facility. "

"My friend is at Wayne Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. They deemed last Friday that he cannot continue on with therapy anymore. He has reached his plateau, but the most important part is his blood pressure drops when they're doing therapy in the mornings, and they're afraid that would cause more of a problem than what it would be worth. So, they had to discontinue the therapy he was receiving, and that stops his Medicare, too, because he's not been able to receive the therapy anymore. They've always been helpful, and they keep me pretty much informed of his condition. If I have questions, they usually answer in a timely manner. I know that he was a little aggravated with them because he still had at least three more weeks left of what his Medicare would have paid for. They had stopped it about three weeks early, and that caused him to have to pay $400 a day out of pocket, and he got upset at that. They're professionals, and I assume that they did it based on professional reasoning (and they did, the way that I've had it explained to me). We were just hoping we would be able to get that other three weeks in and then get approved for Medicaid in April. It's nothing that can be helped, but overall I'm happy with that they've done. They've treated him very well. I have not seen any of the rooms because of COVID. They've only started visitations back up in the last three weeks, and I was able to get in and see him for a thirty-minute visit. It went by very quickly, but I understand under the circumstances they have to accommodate everybody. I can't say too much about the facility itself, but what I've seen I thought was great. They have an activity room, but I don't know what was offered in there. They've always been kind to me, and they keep me informed. Just last night at nine o'clock, they called to notify me of a condition that continues to plague him. They were just providing me with the information and wanting to make sure that I agreed with what the doctor was wanting to do, just as the other times before that they did that. I'm limited to the number of employees that I've been able to talk to. I have talked to a lot of them, but not all of them."

"The staff of 2014 have all been replaced by competent, caring people. If your loved one needs 24 hour care that you are unable to provide, then you should tour several different facilities and decide for yourself which one will provide the care that you want for your loved one. I personally am very satisfied with the staff and level of care provided. I would rate it 4 out of 5."

"My mom is now in Best Care Nursing & Rehab Center. I feel very fortunate that they accepted her. Most of it is great, but it really needs updating. The room is crowded. The Alzheimer's section has double beds in each room. They need more private bathrooms. I don't like that two rooms share a bath. The price is high too. The staff is very friendly, patient, and helpful. The director is very helpful and informs you about the things you can get. If you need any help with anything, they'll work with you. They will help you in any way they can. That part I really like. The meals look fine; however, my mom doesn't eat much unless there is a lot of soft food in there. They have all kinds of activities. They have an activity chart that they post for people to see."

"The staff was great, always responsive and courteous and focusing on my great grandmothers needs. They offered great food and had specialists on site. With a fun event planned nightly for the residents, and even the occasional field trip, the made sure everyone received the proper care they deserve and need. They only things I saw that i thought need improvemnet was the building itself. The structure in which the retirement home is in was over 100 years old and need to be updated or remodeled pretty bad. Not saying the equipment wasn't up to date because it was just the actual building itself. Also there was as light smell that loomed through the halls that did leave you wishing you could cover your nose. But other than that there are no other complaints with them. South Shore Rehab providing great service and attending to my needs but mroe importantly my great grandmothers. "

"I have a grandmother that is a resident and have visited Hempstead Manor on many occasions. The staff is very friendly and genuinely cares about it's residents. They go above and beyond the call of duty to see that all are taken care of and given the utmost loving care.Every room is outfitted with a television and restrooms that are kept clean and serviced more than frequently. Residents are also invited to the crafts room where they can play various games, participate in exercise, work on various crafts and art projects, or just chat and socialize.The only negative thing I could say about this facility is the dim lighting and color scheme can sometimes be a bit of a downer. The lighting gives it a dim, yellow look that isn't easy on the eyes. Still, this is an exceptional facility and one that should be recognized for it's hard work and accomplishments. "

"The facility cleanliness was outstanding and am sure it meets beyond standard requirements. The staff that work there are very friendly and helpful. They made sure to show me everything I needed to know and let me preform the tasks by myself with their supervision to help me learn better. The residents love their nurse aids which shows how well the nurse aids take care of the residents. The facility has a flexible and convenient schedule for residents family to come and visit. overall I really enjoyed doing my clinicals there and wouldnt mind working there full time. "
