This facility took care of my great grandmother in such a way that all of our family was put at ease by her being there. The staff are so friendly and willing to go above and beyond for all of their residents and their families. There are several different activities that they plan monthly for the residents to enjoy and take part in. The facility itself is beautiful and you can tell the staff take pride in what they do.

The rooms are nice, staffing is very short handed and not very friendly. Difficult to find out information about your loved one.

My experience with the facility has been nothing but wonderful. I can call on my relative and always find that she was happy and loved. I am able to check on her over the phone as well as visit any time. The whole staff shows love to all their clients.

First of all I would not even give this place a 1 more like a -10 but you have to give a rating to comment! This place is horrible please don't take your loved ones to this place!!!!! My dad done pretty good their until he couldn't take care of himself, and by that I mean he got to where he couldn't talk good or couldn't feed himself after that hospital trips for dehydration, push in his urine from a bad infection, he was hospitalized 4-5 times within a year or so for dehydration, infection, etc. We tried to get him in another facility, but was on a waiting list. My sister got a call dad had burned himself with coffee, and told her it was bad,and they were treating it,my sister has stage 4 cancer and was not able to go check on him,so she called me I went and I went off on Woodland oaks his whole upper thigh was green and nasty, and he was unresponsive I ran to the nurses station and told the nurse to call an ambulance asap, and wake her why he was laying there like that, she responded well he was fine earlier! She came in and checked his blood pressure it was extremely low. The ambulance got there the nurse wouldn't even give them a report on dad,and both of them told me she was supposed to give them a report on his health she walked back to the nurses station and sat down. When we got to the hospital the Dr had to almost turn him upside down to get his blood pressure to rise, and they started him on fluids he was dehydrated bad,had an infection, and the dr. said he has 2nd,and 3rd degree burn of his entire upper thigh, and the nurse at the nursing home told me they were going to send him to wound care the next week because they had been treating it wrong, and bandaging it. I also went to administration and ask how he burned himself with coffee when he couldn't hold a cup of coffee to drink it,she said 2 aids handed it to him and he dropped it on his leg! After 8 years of being there they already knew he couldn't hold a cup of coffee his chart says plainly he was unable to hold drinks, or feed himself! After that they sent him to hospice and he passed away 3 days later. Please don't take your family here!!!! I'm begging you!

Mom was there to rehab. 1st day there she was put on Lexipro & family wasn't informed.Therapists got her walking but nursing & aides kept her in a wheelchair with a restraint until she stopped trying to stand or walk.Mom became very ill while there & had to be taken to ER. She had to have energency gallbladder surgery.Surgeon said someone should have known she was very ill.she got VRE while there...a contagious UTI. We were told mom had to get VRE by being cleaned by someone with unclean gloves or dirty hands (not washing or changing gloves after cleaning a contagious person). While there an aid was seen picking up a dirty cut up orange from the kitchen floor and fed it to a resident. The orange had just been stepped on.

Compared to most it is the only choice. Not enough nurses per resident. Semi private rooms create breeding grounds for spreading illnesses as do community rooms. A resident with pneumonia was brought into the community room every day for meals with no effort to contain her. She even told everyone she had pneumonia as she coughed all over residents. Nurses are LPN's not RN's and are not very attentive. Aides are spread out too thin and aren't always around. Dietary feeds very unhealthy foods, sugars, salty foods and lots of caffeine to heart and kidney patients. Charge is about $250/day to hold a room. Outrageous. They mix all kinds of residents together which is not good. Long term rehab patients should be separate from others, terminal patients should be separated and patients with severe dementia should be separated and contained. Instead they roam the hallways freely running down people with wheelchairs. I think long term care facilities are all designed wrong. They don't allow privacy or dignity for residents. Nursing care is fair to bad. Not enough aides per patient. Medicare needs to overhaul it's requirements to provide long term care with privacy and dignity in these places. Daily rates here and at other places are a rip off.

The staff are very friendly to me, my family, and my Grandmother. She is checked on regualy, and she doesn't complain about the service. Her sheets are changed, she's well fed, and they give her daily baths when she asks for them. So far, she's been in Woodland Oaks for about five months now, and she's not had any problems with their service. If I had to choose somewhere again, I'd choose Woodland Oaks again.

Horrible experience. Facility should be closed. Many of staff incompetent and uncaring staff. Arrogant, threatening "front office." Human dignity and legal rights violated. Elderly treated like garbage. Safety disregarded.
