My tour at Home Place was superior. It was a very reputable place, and very nice. They have a physical therapy room, and dining facilities. The staff has been excellent, and very attentive.

We placed my dad at the Home Place, it was very good, and we were pleased. The staff is very welcoming, and very informative. My family did eat there, and the food was outstanding in 5-star dining. It’s like cruise ship food; there are several options, and it was phenomenal. They did some movement and table activities, and dad didn’t participate in a lot of stuff.

I visited Home Place. It was like nice home. They had a really wonderful staff. If a person had special need, they made sure that they were taken care of. The atmosphere was very homey, and calm. It was in a nice size of neighborhood. It did have a lot of traffic back, and forth. So, if they were able, they had locked in chairs, and they could go watch people come-and-go. That seemed to be something they enjoyed doing. I had the chance go in their kitchen, and dining area. They were very nice. They had round tables, table cloths, and napkins; made it very inviting. It was like a five-star restaurant. They had a TV, activities, and everything. They also had ongoing discussion, and things like that.

Home Place of Burlington is a well-run, excellent facility because of the quality of services that the staff exhibits, their professionalism, and the oversight by the executive director. The community is clean, well lit and upbeat. They have a social director that does a very good job with the residents. I have observed and even participated in some of their activities.

We chose The Home Place of Burlington because it was smaller, and I already knew some of the residents there, so that helped. The rooms were large, and the food was good. As far as the staff is concerned, there's too much turnover with the nursing assistants. The type of staff that they have was not good, especially on the third shift. With their activities, they have Bible study and church; they had a lot of activities.

Home Place of Burlington was not very good. There was some kind of miscommunication. The person in charge for the tour that we have scheduled was not there to meet us. The receptionist had to give us the tour. She was nice, but she did not know the answers to any of our questions. The rooms were very small, and the whole atmosphere was very dark and dreary. It did not smell very good. We did not stay very long. We were not interested in pursuing it any further.
Provider Response
Thank you for your recent visit and taking a moment to share your thoughts. We recognize that we fell short of your overall expectation, and that your experience was not consistent with our reputation that has earned us the Best of the Best award for assisted living in Alamance County. We are pleased that you found our receptionist to be friendly and accommodating. We take the feedback of our guests seriously and have been able to use this information to review training for our receptionists as well as our process for tours that are scheduled after 6pm and are set by referral partners not at our location. We apologize for the miscommunication. We hope that you will have an opportunity to visit us again and experience the vibrancy of our community, a Lifestyle 360 activity, and view some of our larger apartments. We thank you again for your visit, your feedback, and giving us additional guest perspective that provides us with an opportunity to improve.

I think the staff was nice and friendly at Home Place of Burlington. The dining area looked nice. Probably the reason why I did not like it so much was the rooms seemed very small.

It seemed like Home Place was very nice facility, they had a very limited number of memory care patients. The staff seemed to be really nice and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Every room has a bathroom attached to it but in memory care although it was spacious , they don't have kitchens . They have activities and played games.

I put my grandmother into Home Place of Burlington for 2 weeks. The staff seemed nice, very attentive and really caring. It was a cute, little place. The rooms were a lot bigger. We liked it a lot, and it was close to where we live. It just wasn’t to my liking.

Home Place of Burlington is an expensive facility, seems like they have a price for everything, but it was very nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility looked nice and clean. The dining area is huge. The rooms are kind of spacious. I would recommend them if people can afford it.

I visited The Home Place. It was a very pretty place and people seemed friendly but it was too expensive. They share a room. The rooms are pretty comparable. They're spacious enough for most people. My mom has a wheelchair so that makes it a little more confined. It would be worth looking into.

Homeplace is a two-story building that may look a little plain on the outside. The front of the building is built with paneling and brick with very little greenery but the inside is quit nice. The furniture inside the greeting room is typical of an assisted living facility as it is very "regal" looking but every thing else seems quite cozy. People are smiling and laughing and that includes both guests and workers. This facility has a ton of activities to do for the guests like a Wii in the game room for the guests to play, arts and crafts room, a library and other rooms and activities to keep the guests busy every single day. There are very few facilities in Burlington that can hold up to this one.
