My MIL has received horrendous "care" at the Ellis Nursing home, severe bedsore requiring specialized wound care, tray left without attempts to feed her, not given medications as ordered by Hospice and the social worker and director of nursing ignore concerns of relatives who visit. I would tell anyone NEVER to place a loved one in this facility.
