I visited my friend last weekend at The Grand and I was SHOCKED to see NO ONE st the Nurses Station and the MEDICINE SUPPLY ROOM DOOR was Wide Open and not “1” Nurse/Aide was to be found. My friend is very pleased with the PT & In House Dialysis’ BUT everything else SUCKS and would not want a DOG st be admitted here. She waited 3 hrs for someone to bring her meds (unacceptable) and all she is told is “we are Short Staffed”. There are just a FEW aides who are very helpful but that’s all….some are very RUDE and could care less about the patients and their needs. The STATE needs to come and evaluate this home immediately….a disgrace to our health care institution.

They claim to care about your comfort which some do but it's really all about the $$ for them. The only unit that gets reasonably decent care is unit 200. The residents are given supplies for cleanliness and care. The other units have bare bones. The rooms are decent but small. Some of the staff are caring and others are horrible and don't belong in healthcare especially in a facility like this! The activities department is awesome.

they left my friend bleeding in the hallway. then waited 8 days to send him to the hospital or test his blood. after me pleading with them to do so. and they lied about the whole affair.

Family member stayed here and was severely injured during therapy. Discharge notes to hospital “tachycardia of unknown source”. Mean night staff, elevators always broken, roommate smoking in room WITH oxygen, I can go on! Poorly managed, dangerous place. Please don’t leave your loved ones here!

Wish I could give it no stars. We had a pretty terrible experience here for subacute rehab of our mother. The communication was non existent. Our mother went into the facility to complete a course of antibiotics, and instead rapidly declined and died in 2-3 weeks. Countless phone calls were not returned, over 2 weeks time. Messages were left for nurses, nursing supervisors, physicians and nurse practitioners regarding what was happening and why, with no return call. My sister would physically go to the facility daily and no one had any idea what was happening, each person with contradicting information. I even called my mother's room one day and a nurse was present and she refused to get on the phone. She said she would call me back from the nurses station, which she did not. The only help we received was from the social worker Megan. I wish I could go back in time and choose a different facility. Unfortunately, wishing will not bring back my mother.

I feel I was taken care of very well. The nurses gave me my meds in a timely manner. The only concern I had was when my dressing wasn't changed for a week when I had my surgery.

The Grand at Pawling has a good facility. They have some great people working there and some that need to be weeded out, since they make it harder for others to do their jobs.

Excellent PT and OT staff at The Grand at Pawling. They are caring, helpful, efficient and know their jobs inside and out. 2 aides I had were very good. Every other aide and nurse I had went from fair to excellent.

Some things at the Grand at Pawling can be improved upon, but all of the staff, Doctors and such, were really great people. I wanted to take time out and thank everyone for their care and help.

I am very pleased with the Grand at Pawling. Physical therapy is going good. Sometimes I feel I cant do certain things, but the staff works with me and helps me get through step by step. The therapist communicates with me and guides me. The aides come quickly when I ring the bell. My room is always kept clean. Also, I really like the food they serve. My only wish is that there were more channels available to watch to watch on the tv. However, I'm glad to know I can watch Netflix on the IPAD. Very happy staying here at the Grand. All of my needs are being met.

The Grand at Pawling was the right place for my Dad at the right time. Therapy was what he needed and they did a good job. There were other areas where I wasn't thrilled and I did share my concerns, but my main concern and goal was for him to receive the proper therapy so that he could go home safe. I feel like they did a good job on that score and the fact is, he is now home and safe!

I've been to the Grand at Pawling twice for therapy. The therapy, which is fantastic and the caring staff, are their greatest assets. I did feel like there was sometimes a lack of proper communication between all departments and that was a bit off putting to me.. I found that staff didn't always have the tools they needed, like extra linens and activity information and scheduling. It may not seem like that big a deal, but when you're in a place for rehab you're already vulnerable and every nuance matters. Still, it didn't damper my overall satisfaction with the quality of care and the therapy. I felt like my aides and CNA's really did care about me and my condition. Some were better than others, but all were professional and qualified. 4 stars is fair.
