My mother is going to the Eddy Village Green at Cohoes. It's beautiful. My sister works with a woman whose mom is there, and she's always talked very highly of it. We went and looked at it too, and it's just a great little community. We actually visited for long-term. At first glance, it looks really nice. Everybody has their little houses that 12 people have rooms in, and there's a big living room with recliners and a TV. There's a kitchen, a dining area, and a little sitting room. It's more like a home setting, so my mom gets her own room, her own bathroom, and her own shower. She's very excited to go and have her private room where she can sleep. It's clean. It doesn't smell terrible like the long term she's at right now. It seems like there's enough staff for each person. They're not spread thin. One of the staff member actually cooks for them daily. So, when they eat, their food is probably hot. It's cooked fresh there every day. I didn't really get a chance to talk to the staff, but as soon as we walked in, they greeted us, and we told them that our mom was potentially coming, and they were very excited, "Oh, great. That'll be super." I didn't get any negative overtones.

My mom is staying at Eddy Village Green at Cohoes. The people were kind. The model was superior because they made it feel like a family kind of experience. They help with toileting and showering. The facility is excellent and very clean. The staff members care about the residents. My mom's room is spacious and has its own bathroom inside. The food is adequate. They can't make it too spicy, too salty, or too sweet. She has Medicaid.

The rooms are just right size with your favorite chair from home and own bathroom. The staff is attentive and plenty of them. The food is great, we’ve eaten there with my Mom. Dr is on call if needed. An RN there or LPN and few certified Aides. All is a nice place there. They treated my Mom very nicely

We had a great visit at Eddy Village Green. The staff was attentive, very pleasant, seemed to understand how to work with the elderly community, and were very professional. We had lunch there and it was fabulous. The food cleanliness was great and the food procedures were followed. They had group activities, music, a couple that comes in with their pets that go around to the residents and visit with their dogs, and they had Bingo.

Mom got to the point where she couldn't do assisted living anymore. There are very few nursing homes in this area. This is just a wonderful facility. There are 18 one-story buildings with 12 residents per building. You walk into a living room-dining room-kitchen combination. It's a very open concept. There are 12 single rooms around the edge. For those twelve people, they actually cook the food right there for them. The staff per patient is amazing. There are three to four during the day, two to three during the evening, and one to two at night. I'm talking about the ratio because there's a registered nurse who floats back and forth between three buildings. If anyone asks for a recommendation about the best nursing home in the Albany area, it is by far the Village Green at Cohose, and I've seen all of them.

My wife attends this wonderful program twice a week and it is working out great for us both. While she is there having a good time I can catch up on errands or even golf for the day. It really is a great program.
