Upon arrival, it was a hot day and staff and residents alike were outside smoking at the entrance--not a pretty site. The facility did not look dirty at all but looked cramped and old. They offer both an assisted living component as well as adult day. Every adult day resident was in a small room with chairs formed in a circle chatting. I suppose some type of activity had just ended or was just beginning but no staff was in the room at the time I was there. The food being prepared for lunch looked and smelled wonderful and the staff was pleasant but the dining room had an institutional feeling. The facility was not locked--I did have an appointment and walked right in and said hello to the administrator. I know a man personally who sends a loved one there during the day and is thrilled with the facility. The assisted living rooms looked homey and pleasant with the residents' personal touches--decorations, wreaths, photos, etc.
