"The rooms at Siena Hills were nice, but they were fairly small. It had a very nicely decorated lobby area. They also have different rooms where activities are done. They have card games and bingo games. They also have a library. It was a fairly new facility. "

"My sister lived here and the staff was very good. They were very friendly, and they helped all of her needs. They always seemed to have smiles on their faces. She had a room all by herself, and it was very nice. It had a view of a courtyard, and it was very big. It had a nice, big bathroom and closet space. It’s very, very large. The food was OK. The dining room was very large, and they brought food to the table. They provide three entrées everyday. "

"Atria was a very nice place; it was hands down better of all I looked that. It was cleaner; it has no smell. The staff and the surroundings were very nice. They had people coming and doing shows once a week, and they had bingo. It was all very good. "

"My dad is moving into Sterling Ridge Senior Living. The place is super organized. The staff members have longevity. There's not a high turnover rate. I met some of the staff that's been there for 14 years, 13 years, and 9 years, so obviously, they're happy working there. The place is clean and organized. They have a lot of activities for the residents. We got there between lunch and dinner, and they offered warm cookies. The facility was great. They have multiple places for the residents to spend their leisure time."

"My wife was here for a year. I was very impressed with the place. When I took her in there a year ago, for some reason she didn't even know I was her husband. She had been there for 6 months and she started to acknowledge me as her husband. She has allowed me to touch her and I can tell her I love her and I can kiss her. She wasn't allowing me any of that before. I don't know why she softened so much, but whatever they did, they did a good job with her. Her room was fine. The place was more like a real home with a few bedrooms in it. They had excellent staff. As for the food, everything I saw was good. They had plenty of activities and they tried to keep them stimulated. The price is so much more reasonable than other places. It is above and beyond everybody else."

" I was told it is important to the owners and staff that the residents feel like Sweet Valley Homecare is their home. They truly mean what they say. I am so impressed with how much they care about our well being as well as our being comfortable here. The house was recently renovated and is beautiful. We’re about to plant a healthy food garden and they offer arts and crafts! I can’t say enough good things. I’m very happy here. "

"We went to the Lakeview Terrace of Boulder City and spent some time with two staff members doing evaluations. Based upon the interview of the staff, viewing the facility from the outside and the general area, it's a very nice place to go. It was a very nice residential area. We did a virtual tour, then we decided to do some looking, so we went and drove up. The administrator came out and we had a long discussion with her. Then, the resident nurse came out, evaluated my wife, and determined that she needed the mental unit. The facilities were very clean and very orderly."

"My husband has moved into Nevada Memory Care & Assisted Living Centers. They're doing good under the conditions. His room is good and they keep it clean. He has a dresser and a recliner in there. He's in memory care. I go in every day, so I know what's going on. There aren't many activities; that's the one part I am disappointed with. He is the most active there. There are seven or eight people there at the most and he's the most mobile. They have a lovely yard, but it's been too hot to go outside. I can't wait until it cools off. They have a big community room with a lounge chair and TV and there's a TV in his room. The food is OK. It's clean. His room is safe and there's no carpet; it's tiled."

"My brother liked Escalante at The Lakes. It's just out of our price range. The person who was giving the tour and my brother just clicked. So, that was a big part of it there. We only saw two or three people there, so I didn't get a really good impression of the actual residents of the facility. That's one thing that left me questioning in my mind, but their sales guy made the biggest impression on my brother. They offer meals, medication assistance, cleaning services, and laundry. It's all inclusive. It's everything my brother would need."

"The staff is amazing. They treat residents like family. The rooms are spacious and clean. The communication with family is great. We can always reach someone if needed. An amazing place."

"My brother will be moving into Desert View Senior Living. I showed up at dinnertime, and dinner smelled delicious. The facility was very clean. The residents were so nice and friendly. It just seems to be like a community where they kind of help each other out as well. There are lots of activities to keep people busy during the day, so they're not just sitting around watching T.V. or something. We looked at a little studio apartment. It's kind of like one big room with a divider. There's a small bedroom in the back, a living area at the front, a small refrigerator, and a microwave. There's also a walk-in shower with a seat, so they can just walk in and sit down. The staff was great. He was helpful and answered all my questions. The meal is cooked to order. They can order whatever they want for breakfast that's on the menu. It was like a restaurant."

"Mom is now living in Monarch Group Home for Senior Citizens. I actually looked at six places, and I could say that this communuity is great. I am very impressed with the staff. They have three certified nurses and helpers everytime I was there. They were up and talking to each other. They also have nice rooms with bed, chairs, and tv in it. They serve good food in a beautiful dining room. With all the activities that they have, the residents seem to be having fun. "

"My mother moved to Better Living for Seniors. It's a group home with six residents. She's getting great care there from what I can tell. She's bedbound, so they're trying to do the things that need to happen for a stroke victim, which is to get her out of her bed and then to a chair. They're caring for her properly. She's got home health right now working with her speech, so they manage all of that with my mom's home health company. There are two caregivers during the day for the six residents, which is the reason why I chose this place. The residents are a small group of people versus a larger home. I'm absolutely happy with them. They have a caregiver that works with Mom, and her name is Jonah. All of them are from the Philippines. Jonah speaks very clearly to my mom, and she speaks good English. With the other two caregivers there's a little bit of a barrier with their English and with their accents, but they're giving my mom the right care and they love her. My mom became really fond of Jonah. I periodically bring in a few of her favorite foods. I'll make something for her that she knows is from me, and they allow that, which is nice. She's not really on any special diet, so she eats when she's hungry and she has a way to communicate that if she doesn't want any more. She's not losing any weight, so she's eating good. She has a nice room. The residents have one master bedroom, and there's a wall between the space. My mom is up against the further end to the room, and it's actually quite nice because she can look outside and see the backyard. Everything is secured and locked properly with alarms on it. I chose that room for my mom so that she could actually see out, and she has a roommate. There was only that one room that was available to my mom, and I would've chosen that anyways if all of them were available because I wanted her to have the ability to look outside. It's very clean. I know that Allan, the owner of the group home, was in the middle of doing a little bit of renovation on the home, and then COVID hit. He had to stop the renovation, so there are a few things that need to be repaired that they had to stop. They keep my mom clean, and the meals are all home-cooked. They're giving her a good balanced diet. Some of the vegetables are frozen, but she's getting nutrients from what they're preparing. It's not junk. They arrange for somebody to come in and cut her hair too. I haven't seen any activities, but my mom's caregivers are actually going in and singing with her and doing sorts of things. They're giving her attention and that's diverting her from being bedbound. It's kind of a shock how expensive it is, but my mom has 24/7 care. Another reason why we chose this home is because Allan, the owner, is applying in March for Medicaid status. My mom is gonna be running out of funds very shortly, so if this can become a Medicaid facility then my mom won't have to move, and that is important to us as well."

"Tranquil Breezes Care Home is a home where they take care of nine patients. The place is fabulous. My mother has been there for six months now. We were going to move her because of the distance from my sister but when we looked at other places, there was no doubt that we were keeping her where she was. It was much better. The house is very updated and looks very clean like any home. There are no signs that you would look at it and think it was a care facility. The staff is extremely friendly. They speak English and are very communicative with our family and my mom. They do not accept Alzheimer's patients, so every day in the morning, they do little group time where they're all in a circle and the owner comes and she throws the ball and they do little exercises together. I know they watch TV together. The food is very good. My mom enjoys it. It's well-balanced. It looks very tasty. I would eat it. There's a good variety."
