I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister-in-law has moved into Rosemont Senior Living Centre. They change her sheets once a week. They do her laundry once a week. She has three meals a day. They're just really good at anything that she needs. Service-wise or health-wise, they'll attend to her. It's nice and clean. She has easy access to her shower because she can't step over like a tub, so she has a walk-in shower, and she's very happy. The staff is wonderful. The food is great. The facility is very nice and well-kept. They have activities for her. She plays bingo and cards. She seems to enjoy it. They have game night and they have sports events, like any kind of cards or whatever. They have a room where they can all view it. Their cable is free. They have free phone service and all the other amenities with the food and everything. It's a good place. The best thing is that my sister-in-law is happy where she's living and she feels comfortable and safe. They have good security, too. They're great people.

I visited this facility

We are hoping to move my brother to Rosemont Senior Living Centre immediately. The place was satisfactory. The apartments were all pretty small, so we had to take a larger one, like the efficiency one. They were clean and all, but they were so small. It was a hotel room; it was that small. It's got enough for a bedroom and a sink to brush your teeth in and a toilet to go to the bathroom in. We were there early in the morning, so there wasn't any activity going on. They would serve 3 meals a day and all that. We only dealt with one person, and he was phenomenal. He answered all of our questions, even answered our negative questions. They would assist the people there withlaundry. They would clean the rooms and they would feed them. Cable and telephone were all included.

My tour at Rosemont Senior Living Centre was a great experience. The staff was wonderful. The residents were nice and friendly. The residents themselves answered any questions that my father-in-law had. The residents took time with my father-in-law. The rooms were small. There were four different levels of rooms. They had a studio, a one-bedroom, a deluxe, and a two-bedroom. They were small, but this is a hotel that was converted. It's in a great location in the heart of Arnold. There are restaurants right across the road. There are eight different restaurants within the area of it. It's on the main road. They offer bus services, and they have group activities where they go out. They're not all up in your business. The only requirement they ask is that when you leave, you just let them know that you're leaving for safety purposes. It was just a really good experience there.

I am/was a resident of this facility

The staff here at Rosemont Senior Living Centre are very kind, neat, and professional. The food is good. It's home-cooked. The employees do everything on schedule and on time. They don't have a lot of physical activities, but they have bingo, Bible study, and things of that nature. There are a ton of restaurants and a hospital is just down the road. I'm just satisfied.

I visited this facility

The staff members at Rosemont Senior Living Centre were very friendly and accommodating. However, that was on the lower end of my budget, so it wasn't really that attractive to me. The building was converted from a prior apartment building and it was not very well lit. They had one available apartment that they showed me, and it was not that good. It was looking out over a pool that was unused (and they were in the process of doing something else with that area). So, it was a very unfortunate choice of rooms. Their activities were very nice though. They had a religious gathering going on while we were there.

I visited this facility

I went to Rosemont Senior Living Centre. The tour was fine as far as the person that was helping us and taking us around. He didn't rush me. He was courteous and thorough, but my experience was that it needed to be remodeled. There was old carpeting in the room they showed me and in the dining room areas. It was poorly decorated and very rundown. They need to completely remodel that place. The apartments themselves were extremely small for the price that they were charging. I feel like they need much better accommodations for the seniors. The price was too high and the conditions were very unpleasant really. I did not get a chance to try their food and the staff did not make an offer for that. I did see the dining area and it was very depressing. It needs a complete remodel. The other thing was that if you decided you didn't want to eat in the dining room, you were not allowed to take a plate of food up to your room and that bothered me. You were also not allowed to have any kind of toaster oven or anything like that in your apartment, only a microwave and a refrigerator, and you had to supply those things. They had bingo and I believe that was it as far as community involvement. There wasn't anything like a pool or a gym or anything like that. There was not even a community room, like a gathering room. I did have a concern because you can have a pet and there wasn't a pet park or anything on the premises to take your dog if you have one.

Provider Response

I would like to address the review by Cynthia on her tour on 9/28/2022. 1) Our facility was built in 2000, and we have done a very good job keeping up on the maintenance, so to call us run down is an insult. We do spend a lot of time keeping up as best we can, and we are constantly complemented on how clean and neat our facility is. I'm am betting you have not visited many other facilities. 2) our dining rooms do not have any carpet, they are tile, as well as the half of the main hallway and the first floor hallway, as we have been replacing some the carpet in the halls with tile. 3) We have 4 sizes of apartments ranging from 300-600square feet, to accommodate many different budgets. The price we charge is in many cases half of what other facilities charge for the same services. 4) The dining rooms are just big enough for our 52 residents, so it is not a grand hall like at the Gatesworth. It is very simple and exactly what we need to serve and attend to the small number of residents we have here. It is quaint and does well to handle the needs of our facility. I am sorry that we do not have the room for a chandelier or a piano for meal service. That really is not who we are. 5) Residents are not allowed to take our plates, cups and utensils back to their room. Several of them do take desserts and plates to their rooms using their own containers. We just do not like our food going to the rooms. Some of the residents do not take care in properly storing the food, and it can become a potential issue if not taken care of. We serve 3 meals a day in the dining rooms. We are not a take out restaurant. After 13 years, we have learned many lessons, and we are always updating our policies to keep up with every situation. We find meal time is a good time for social hour, and many of the residents do come down extremely early to enjoy that social time. 6) We do have bingo 3 times a week, as well as communion on Tuesday, We have an outside entertainer come 2-3 times a month, we have movie night on Friday or Saturday night, and when the Cardinals or Blues are playing, we have the games on in the Bingo room for the residents to come and watch together. The problem we have is that we are Independent Living, and the residents are able to come and go as they please and do what they like, so having tons of activities is not necessary. Keep in mind, that this is not a nursing home. The Arnold Rec Center is just up the road from us, it is free to seniors with Silver Sneakers, and the Jeffco Express goes from our front door to theirs every day M-F. 7) We have 2 different community rooms. We have the card room where they go after meals to play cards every night, and the Bingo Room where we have the library and where we have our activities, so your statement there is not correct. 8) We had a pool, but we averaged less that 1 person a day using it, so we closed it. We had the pool for 3 years, and after we realized it was worthless for our facility, we closed it. Also, the Arnold Rec Center has a wonderful pool. 9) We do allow pets, and it has worked out well for us. We have a grass area in front of the building, we have a grass area in the back of the building, as well as a 1/2 acre lot right next to the building for people to take their pets. We currently have 3 residents with a pet, and they are completely happy with all the places to take their dogs. I do not know where Cynthia got her information, but i can tell you that we are one of the best and least expensive facilities i have been to since we started into this endeavor. We provide 3 meals a day. We provide weekly laundry service as well as weekly housekeeping service. Our prices include all utilities. For $1300 to $1800 per month, i would be interested if anyone could find a facility that can do that. We are an Independent Senior Living Facility. We are not a Nursing Home. FYI.

We're going to choose Rosemont Senior Living Center for my dad because he's looking for an independent living that doesn't have anything to do with nursing staff. He just wanted an apartment that he could live independently with people to talk to. We also like that it's a locked facility; you have to have a key to get in. It's very clean. They do laundry, and they also do housekeeping in all of the rooms (if the tenants want them to). They serve three meals a day. It's all included in the rent. The staff was very, very friendly and very interactive with us and my dad while we were there. We haven't tried the food yet. We saw the menus, and they looked good. They offer plenty of spaces for the tenants there to interact with each other. They have a game night, and they have a movie night for the tenants.

Currently with the COVID pandemic, residents are required to stay in their room on quarantine, which is understandable. HOWEVER, they are refusing to bring the food WHICH THEY PAY FOR, to their rooms. The residents are not allowed in the dining room, but they are refusing to bring the meals to them in their rooms. I am APPALLED! This place treats residents like trash and if you love your family member/friend… do NOT place them at Rosemont!

As far as we can say, my mother-in-law likes living in Rosemont. The place is clean. The rooms are nice. I have not eaten any of their food, but it smells fantastic. They have bingo, bible studies, and church on Sunday. They have a library too. It's within walking distance to shopping and eating, which is a plus. The staff members are awesome. They bend over backward to help do whatever they need to do.

This place is basically a hotel turned into apartments. It's off the main road and pretty looks like a hotel. The rooms are similar to a hotel as well; they have kitchenettes. They're not bad, they were okay. When I toured in this place, I didn't observe any activities done by residents but I think just like other facilities, they also offer those kinds of entertainments. But, they provide 3 meals per day and they have a dining room where residents eat together. I think they could lower down their prices a little. It's a little too expensive based on what they have to offer.
