"The Goldton At Southaven didn't have my appointment correct, so I had to just sort of tag along, which was fine. I did not mind doing that, but it was a little discombobulated on that day. The community was brand new. It was very big and the rooms were nice. The air conditioner was broken on the day that I went, though, and it was hot. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Even though my tour had a little hiccup, they made it right. It just wasn't a good fit for my parent."

"Somebody walked us around Southern Place and the more I looked at it, the more it looked like a rehab place. The facility looked clean. The people were very pleasant; however, most of them were in worse shape than I was. We got to a certain place there where they were doing exercises. The staff looked very professional and very pleasant. For what they seemed to be doing, they're very good. "

"Royal Retreat was nice and the administrator was awesome. She gave me a full tour of the building to see which areas would accommodate my aunt and I was very pleased with it. The apartment was just a bit small. If you only really needed a place for the residents to stay and be safe, then I guess it would accommodate, but my aunt was in a wheelchair. Also, I did not find it accommodating with the amount of money that we were going to pay every month, plus cable, plus utilities. I thought it was all kind of wrapped into that one overall cost. It was like $1400 a month plus cable, plus utilities. The apartment had a small refrigerator and a stove so you could buy food, but if you didn't feel like cooking, you could purchase the food cart where you could eat in the dining room area with what they served everybody else at the center. That was like $450 a month. They offered activities. One lady showed me something that she was knitting. I was excited to see that there was an onsite laundry room and an onsite beauty shop, too. When you walked in, the front area was very nice and they had security."

"I toured The Summit of Germantown. The community was nice. They had a nice little courtyard and an area for the dogs to play. It looked safe. They had a fence around it with an automatic gate. However, I was a little upset. The sales agent or whoever she was that does the bookings had double-booked herself, and I sat and waited for her for two hours. I felt I got pushed off onto somebody else who didn't know what she was doing. The rooms were nice. They had a very large kitchen, which is larger than the kitchen I have now at home, which is good. The bedrooms were fine. The bathroom was large, but the living rooms were a little on the small side. However, it looked like it was well-maintained."

"It was very nice. The people who worked there were very nice and knew everyone by name. The rooms were all private, a little tiny, but nice. Everything was clean. They have games and they take people on errands uptown. They also have snacks out for residents. The place is very secure and you have to have a code to get in and out."

"I'm glad that they had vacancy when we inquired initially. This facility was recommended to me and it's close to my home and I can just visit my mom often. The staff are very knowledgeable at what they do and the residents are very warm and friendly. I really feel that my mom is treated well and is receiving all the care that she needs. My mom got an apartment with a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. She has 3 meals a day and she goes down for each one of them. The place has definitely a homey environment and this is what I really like most with the place. "

"I visited Belmont Village for my husband. They didn't know we were coming. However, the staff did a nice job under the circumstances. We walked in, they had no idea we were coming, and they stepped up to the plate and got an accountant to show us around and give us the facts that we needed. The facility was very lovely. They had a nice menu, which we didn't get to sample, but it was above the average. It was a very nice place. "

"The people that work at Christopher's Place were extremely nice. But they don't show you much other than a courtyard in the back and a room. The only thing I could complain about was that they needed a new carpet. It was an older facility. They had a nice little dining room and an outdoor area for seating. It's a small facility. I saw one room with a bookcase as a divider. It had a private bath."

"Due to a very serious incident where i iinquired severe frostbite injuries that required wound treatment and intense physical therapy. I was treated for five weeks in which time physical therapy worked with me with compassion and sincere concern for my recovery. The Cnas were very caring and helpful with all my needs. The majority of the nurses helped me through some very painful and trying days and nights and very attentive. The wound nurses helped heal me feet and legs which were in terriable condition. "The placement needs of most of the residents are more demanding. I see the needs of some patients are very hard to meet. I like how the staff strives to give the care they would like their own family to have. "

"The tour was fine. At the time that I was there, they didn't have a two-bedroom, so they couldn't accommodate me. The rooms were nice, the apartments were nice, but not as accommodating as the other place. The staff was nice and very friendly. They showed me the dining area, but it's not near as nice as the other place."

"This is one of the best facilities in the Memphis, TN area and the caregivers are absolutely fabulous. My mom as advanced as she is even talks about how nice they are to her and make her hair and nails look "pretty". "
