Azalea Commons of Cleveland was very clean. The grounds were well-manicured and spacious. Paige was the person who gave me the tour. She was also the nurse and she was very personable, very friendly, bubbly, and just had a great personality. She was delightful. My father would be able to live on his own. There's a walk-in shower, several meals and snacks a day, privacy, and the ability to bring his own car and come and go as he pleases. They were just getting done with bingo when we were there, and so they have activities every day. The dining area was also spacious and clean. It's beautiful.

We have chosen here. My mom hasn't moved in yet. There's been a Covid outbreak, so she's going to move after the first of the year. They want her to wait until the COVID cases go down a little bit. They have very friendly staff, and the facility is very clean. They were very cooperative with moving my mom's stuff in as we needed to. We didn't really have access to a truck or anything, so we had to kind of take a few pieces at a time. They were very helpful. The food looked really good there. We were really happy with them. It seemed like a good community and a happy place. I visited some places, but they did not seem really upbeat. It looked like they were doing a lot of activities. They had a common area for them to visit. We visited other ones, and we just felt like this one was still just better. The rooms were kind of small, but they're OK. They have a large bathroom. Everyone gets cable. Everyone has internet access, and everyone can control their own heat and cooling unit. That is all a plus. The maintenance set up our TV. They cleaned that room out for us specifically because I wanted the room closest to the desk. They cleaned that room out specifically for me, so I think maintenance just does a good job.

My mother has been in here for a week now. The employees, the nurses, the aides, and everybody has been so supportive and getting involved in her care. They know that my mother is kind of standoffish so they're trying to get her to come out for activities. When she started, she wouldn't even come out and eat in the dining room. Now she does and she has friends across the table every meal. That's the biggest thing for me, they're just super nice. They've done everything to get us settled and get her meds ordered. It's kind of hard when you have to change doctors and that kind of stuff. I've noticed that she's eating everything they're putting on her plate too, and she's kind of picky. They bring her plate over to her and give her sweet tea, the whole kit, and caboodle. We did bingo one day and I know they have activities every day.
