The Saint Cloud VA is a very fine facility. It is always clean and kept up to decent standards. There is a very respectful and interactive staff who are always ready to help vets and students alike. Our group specifically met with veterans who come in the morning and leave at night to their homes. They are well enough to live on their own, they just require some extra attention during the day. Every visit was filled with stories and games being shared and played amongst the students and vets, so there was never a dull moment and everyone seemed quite content with the facility. Overall it was one of the best places I have seen in terms of staffing and the positive mood being given off by the residents. However, I have not seen the nursing home aspect of the buildings yet since we only deal with those who can come and go as they please.

My husband is getting horrible care right now. I am really taken aback by this. Trying to get seen for a over a year for pain. Was seen once, DM left and he was told to start over?? Shouldn't another DM be able to read his xray? More apt's that have been canceled. Now again trying to get in and they tell him no availability. To top this off we were threatened if we went to outside care (because its been a year and we have yet to be seen/followed up) we could never go back to the va? At this point who would want such care as its been over a year. Weve been seen in other VA facilities in the U.S. and this has been the worst.
