My mother-in-law is in assisted living at Harmony House. The staff is polite, and personality-wise they are good, but I know they are short-staffed. Cleanliness is good. When she got in there, we weren't happy with her diet because she is a diabetic, and when we talked to them about it, they told us that nobody was trained in toning down carbs. So they had to send somebody up to the hospital to the nutrition center with my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law's diet has gotten better, but I do not know about anybody else's. It is a small facility. They each have an activity every day, and they have church services both for the Protestant and the Catholic churches, afternoon sing-a-long, and a lot of trivia stuff.

My mom is in Harmony House, but I will be moving him to another facility although my father seems to be pretty happy there and the staff was helpful. The rooms were not spacious, but clean, and the dining room is like a big kitchen. I have not observed any activities there, but I know they have activities. The place is safe and secured, but my mom complains that they don’t get enough food, the portions are very small, and they don’t really have enough like one-on-one with the patients or interaction.
