My mom was in Camilia Rose Care Center. I was very happy with them. I can't get over how helpful and kind they were; these were my two biggest things. The facility was clean and decorated nicely. You had to wear masks, get your temperature taken, and fill out a survey if you had any symptoms.

My former wife was at the memory care facility of Camilia Rose Care Center. One of the nice things about it was that it was on the second floor, and the memory care patients would have a difficult time getting out because the elevator had a key system. It was easy for me to get in and out, but the patients were not so. There was a key available for the restroom, too, so when I needed to use it, I could simply grab the key and bring it back. The food was also superb. There were times when I had to be there to feed my wife, and I'd look at what she was eating, and it looked great. I never bothered asking for a meal there, but maybe I could have done that, and someone had suggested it, because the food was always great. The facility was very clean. There is no question as to how clean it was. The issue came with the personnel and feeding my wife. She got to the point where when you put a plate in front of her, she didn't eat it, but they didn't help her start, so they were basically just going to starve her. They had a scale, so I took it and started weighing her and keeping note of the weight, and they took the scale away. They informed me that they were not going to weigh her, and obviously, they didn't want me to weigh her. They didn't say they weren't going to feed her, but they did not feed her. Their idea of feeding someone is putting a plate in front of them, and if you don't eat it, that's your problem. There was no assistance. Their solution to it was to put her in hospice, and I don't think that is the solution for a person. All you needed to do was give her a couple of spoonfuls, and then she would start eating on her own at that point in time. One of the aides actually tried to start feeding her, but the lady in the kitchen almost immediately called him away and told him to go do something else. They couldn't figure out why she was falling. I said they should realize that she used to have seizures, so they should probably increase her medicine. Until one day, she actually had a seizure when someone was dressing her. Rather than raising her usual medication dosage, they gave her a different one, which then she was kind of like out of it, but at least she wasn't having seizures anymore. For someone who is somewhat capable, it might be an okay place because it's definitely clean, and the food is excellent. The facility is set up beautifully, too. I also never had a problem finding a parking spot, and I am very fussy about where I park my vehicle. However, the staff may be trying and may have a heart, but there was a lack of training. For instance, this one guy started choking, and this woman came running out of the kitchen, grabbed him, and shook him like a doll back and forth. It's not the Heimlich maneuver; it literally shook him back and forth. The food did come out, but I'm surprised his teeth didn't come out. There was also a lady in a powered wheelchair. She would get stuck and not be able to move, and no one knew how to get her wheelchair moving, so they'd have to call someone. I Googled it and in five minutes knew what the problem was, and I don't even work there.

I was told I couldn’t see my own doctor. And if I did they were going to pack my stuff up and I would have to leave. I was really sick wanted seconded opinion not satisfied with their doctor. I left anyway to find out I had pneumonia they said I had asthma wanted to give me a high buck inhaler. When I came back I pack up my stuff and left. Didn’t sign nothing. I wouldn’t leave my own parents their. I couldn’t get help with the bathroom I was a fall patient need supervision where we’re they. And we’re not going to talk about the physical male therapist that wanted to catch me taking a bath. He had no business knocking on the tub room door and walking in!!

My father-in-law spent several weeks here supposedly to rehab after being in the hospital. I was not impressed from the moment I walked in. Things seemed old and unkempt. The tables and floor in the common area were always in need of cleaning/vacuuming. The main reason for my low rating is that my father-in-law fell 3 times while there. The third time caused a huge black eye on a third of his face. A day later he went to the hospital where he subsequently died.

Awful. We are livid and heart broken. We understood that we were unable to see mom due to Covid, so we dropped off many of her favorite chocolate bars with greeting cards for her at the reception desk so we could show our love for her from a distance. She had bad fingers so she would have needed assistance getting the candy bars open and opening the cards. Our mother passed away and in her belongings we found all the chocolate bars and all the unopened cards we had left for her. The staff repeatedly told us she was given a chocolate bar every day and was told it was from us. (We called several times a week to see how she was doing.) On the one and only window visit we were able to have, we discovered her hearing aid was misplaced so she was unable to speak with us, only wave at us. In addition, the hearing aid was broken into pieces twice during 3 months and it was lost once and needed to be replaced. She would not have been able to destroy the hearing aid on her own. She was without a hearing aid for weeks each time it needed to be remade. Her glasses had been lost for months per the staff and we were not notified so we could replace them. So during her stay: WHAT ELSE WERE THEY LYING TO US ABOUT? DO NOT TRUST this place!! We cannot comment on the food, facilities, or activities, we were never allowed in.

I was a resident for one day and ended up in the hospital because staff did not give me my meds at the designated time and I was taken to the U of M by ambulance because of confusion and disorientation. I would not recommend this facility to no one. It was nice for one day until I was discharged from the hospital 5 days later and they were going to put me on third floor with all the dementia patients. It was an awful experience.

Refuses to use military insurance causing improper billing.... Meds are free through military insurance except co pay. Administration and social worker states they have taken care of it but its still happening for 7+ months. It's costs us 100s extra and a headache. The third floor staff needs coaching to effectively manage.

Camilia Rose Care Center is a warm, nice, inviting place. Mom's room is big, and the staff is nice and courteous. She needs some physical therapy, and it will be given to her, which is a good thing.

My mother was a transitional care resident of Camilia Rose for about 33 days in early 2015. I was very impressed by the physical and occupational therepy she recieved. I was also impressed by the social worker, and the nurses that I talked with. As a certified gereatic care manager I have seen some centers that I would not like to see my mother at but this was a good place for her to recover.

She is at Camilia Rose Care Center. The place is fine and she likes it. Her room is clean. They just probably need to improve on the service like for example the need to get help when going to the restroom.

While this is not the most high tech facility I have ever been to I must say that it is a very nice place for the residents that live here. I have visited this facility many times over the last year and I have always really liked what I have seen. It is always clean, the residents seem to be very happy with the facility, they have a lot of amenities to offer their residents and they seem to get really great care. It is clean, the employees are helpful and kind to the residents and the visitors and the staff really seem to care about the people that are there and of course the residents. I would not think twice about recommending the facility to family or friends. I think one of the best things about this facility is that the staff makes sure that people are not just sitting around. They have a lot for them to do to keep their bodies and their minds active. The grounds are nice and it is in a pretty area for walks and outings and things. It also is very clean and smells nice too.
