Outdated is putting it kindly. It's hard to believe it's up to code at this point. The staff is friendly and kind but 'scattered' and information is not always passed between them. Always double check if you tell one person something as it may not be passed along. My family member's UTI was not addressed and we ended up taking her to the hospital ourselves. The food is tasty and generous but seems loaded with salt which is an issue for some. Activities are scarce and basically consist of bingo, bingo and sometimes bingo (but the activities staff are super nice, I feel like they aren't given the resources for much else). It is very wheelchair unfriendly (a visit will show you how, check out the wheelchair entrance). There are holes in the walls and cracks in the floors and basically the owners seem to have little pride in this property.

Victoria Haven was very nice inside. It's small. It was originally a privately owned home; so it's furnished very nicely, and the floors were all the same including the dementia area downstairs. They're all very nice, and homey. The staff was very nice. The admissions woman was right on top of things, and I met the head nurse. They've been very helpful. I'm happy with them so far. They were singing, and they have a lot of things. They have a few men in there, so they're going to get a men's club where the men can sit to chat.

I thought Victoria Haven was OK. It needs to be updated a little bit, but I thought it was fine. I did meet a couple of people from the staff and I thought they were fine, I thought they were nice. They seem to be attending to the residents, so that is fine. I wasn't necessarily impressed, but the only thing about the place is that it is an older house, not really Victorian, but it is an older house and it doesn't have that hospital style feel to it, so that is a piece of it that I like. My father has been there for about a month and a half, so I don't know that much about it yet. I might recommend it, but I am not really sure yet.
