My grandparents live in the Independent Living wing of Presbyterian Manor in Ark City, KS. They've loved living there for seven years now, and I love to visit them there! They're surrounded by friends and supportive staff members, and there's always something fun to do around the manor. The staff keeps the events calendar full--and on any given day, the residents can participate in exercise class, watch a movie together, take part in a special dinner, or enjoy an outing. There's an on-site library for residents, a chapel, as well as a beautiful garden patio off the dining room. Many residents like to gather in the dining room for meals, to socialize as well as to enjoy the variety of healthy, delicious dishes that are offered. The staff will happily tailor your meal to suit your dietary needs. My husband and I have shared many meals with our grandparents and their friends at the manor. The staff is competent and responsive with their health care as well. Half of Presbyterian Manor is an assisted living facility, and the two share an excellent medical staff who are only as far as a phone call or a push of a button. The health and well-being or the residents is a top priority to the staff.
