"The guy from Eagle Pointe Place was very helpful. He showed us almost everything and was very helpful. He told us to call back if we thought of any questions, so overall, I thought he did a good tour. The rooms were nice. They're smaller, but they had a good amount of storage area for the size of the apartment. The dining area was also nice. They didn't have much of a courtyard as there were no trees."

"Oak Park Place Dubuque was good. It was large and it had about everything if you could get around and do a lot of stuff. They had therapy and everything there but I didn't like the room, because the shower was too small and my loved one would need assistance. The staff seemed fine. They seemed very friendly. As far as the qualifications, I'm sure they would do well. They've got a lot of things going there."

"It is assisted living, and they have a memory care unit as well. It is unlike any nursing home because it doesn't even feel like a nursing home. It is very welcoming. They converted an old school house building, and they built on to it. So all of the old classrooms before are now apartments. The staff is excellent and top notch. We could not have found a better place for mom. They are involved especially in the memory care unit where my mother is placed; they are just excellent. They are like family to us already. You don't feel like you are going in to a nursing home; it is more like going to an apartment building. We have told mom that this is her apartment, and it has gone well with her. When they take them out for any kind of activity, the memory care unit residents have their own personal aide. I couldn't be happier. It is a God send. "

"It had a lot activities going on, they seemed to have people everywhere doing things, and I liked that part of it. It was modern and clean, it doesn’t smell, and it has all these little things like beauty shops and all that stuff that makes it easy for the patients."

"Mt. Pleasant Home was really friendly, and we got to meet the residents. The manager (or whatever his title was) answered questions without hesitation. He was extremely honest about everything going on there. The food looked really good, and we got to see the huge activity room. It was a nice place. The building used to be a mansion. You could choose between having a large room with your own bathroom and a room with a bathroom that you would share with maybe a couple of other people. It's an independent living facility. Everyone was really nice. All the residents seemed to know each other, and it was like they were a family. "

"I knew people from Applewood. The staff was very helpful, and the rooms and apartments are very nice, clean, and spacious. The dining room was beautiful. All the activities that they had and everything were just nice, and that impressed me. The apartments were nice. They have afternoon cards, bingo, crafts, and a weight room. There are several different things that they do. And the place is secure and safe. "
