"It is a beautiful property. Everyone was very pleasant and professional, it was a very nice community and it reminded me of being on a cruise ship. The place is beautiful and very well-appointed, they bend over backwards to speak with the people. It was very luxurious. They had a wonderful plan, they had an extended dinner hours that allows you to go at a broader range of time than allowed at smaller communities. The menu looked fabulous, they had a large variety to fit what someone would like. They invited us on a Sunday which was a really good day to check out the buffet. They offered so much to do, they have really good activities going on and a big board with everything that's offered. If you do the physical therapy there, they have a facility onsite or a room you could use with equipment inside. It was really nice. The staff who assisted me during the tour was wonderful, she took care of everything and checked back with me."

"Seagrass Village of Fleming Island was beautiful. The people were very friendly. It was everything I wanted. It was just a little further out from where I live. Other than that, it was great. The rooms were nice, spacious, and very clean. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and knowledgeable. Anything I needed to know and anything that she could do to make the transition easy for my parents, she was willing to help. Some people were playing cards, some people were sitting out reading, and I saw some people in the dining room. The dining area was very nice. I didn't get a chance to taste or sample the food, but it looked very nice."

"I've moved into Palagio Senior Living. One of the big advantages I saw is, if I get to the point where I need assisted living, I don't have to change apartments. The place is only about two years old, it's very well kept, and they have very nice people. The staff is excellent. Food is edible. Every month they publish a monthly calendar listing all the events and various activities. They handed it out to all the residents as well as posted on the walls. They have a full refrigerator and a microwave in the room. They have a very nice area to walk the dogs, and there are sitting areas. There are a couple of gazebos out there. The grounds are very nice and very well kept."

"I love Canterfield of Clay County. I was really impressed with it because just pulling in from the street, it's a beautiful place, and you walk in and you're just amazed at all the activities and all the staff. It's very well organized. They conduct art type of activities, they have music activities, puzzles, games, bingo, and outings. The staff was amazing, very thorough with the tour and the information, and very friendly. The rooms were very large, even the studio looks like a one-bedroom the way it's divided, and there's plenty of space. The one-bedroom units were even bigger, and the closets were huge. The bathrooms were amazing. They showed us the salon, the nurses' station, the exercise equipment, the food, menus, where they eat, and the whole memory care facility."

"I live at Starling at Nocatee Independent Living. We have lots of activities. The people working here are friendly and easy to work with. It's a very pleasant building, light and cheerful. I love the location in Nocatee because we can walk to get our haircut and get our nails done if we want to. You can do it here, too. You can even walk to Publix. They give rides to doctors and to fun places like the symphony, and a variety of trips to take. We get two meals a day. We fix our own lunch, or you can choose to fix your own dinner. There's a plan for that. We had a dermatologist come to our apartment and I had some physical therapy when I had plantar fasciitis. I know there are other doctors and services. There's a hearing service. They have a gym and a treadmill, and that's very nice. We even have pickleball and a beautiful pool, too. They have movies playing at different times, a lot of Bridge, and cards."

"I am living in Vicar's Landing. I chose it because it serves my needs, it is ready when I need it, and it is a five-star place. I can't be happier. It is nice for walking, and it is a lovely place. It has a nice parking facility. I don't eat here a lot, but the food is very good. I have a four-room apartment. It is absolutely first class and nice. I have two bedrooms and two baths, and I have weekly linen changes. I don't have everything. So, if I don't have it, they can provide it for me. "

"I toured the independent living of The Coves At River Garden. Everything looked new. I believe all of the structures were brick. There was parking available at each unit. It was very attractive. I was in the lobby for a good while, and I got a chance to see people going back and forth to different activities. I saw the restaurant, and that was about it. In terms of upkeep and cleanliness, it was top-notch and very attractive. The staff who assisted me there was very helpful. They were top-notch."

"Westminster Woods on Julington Creek looked very warm and inviting. We all liked the rooms. It just felt like home to us because we happen to live on the water, and there are big oak trees and everything. This is the one my children liked the best that we looked at. "

"My dad has settled in at Discovery Village At Deerwood and he's as happy as he can be. We're pretty restricted on what we can do there because at the moment we can't get in. But when we were moving him in, everything was really nice and new, especially the dementia unit. No one has been in his room before. They have a really nice courtyard which is all fenced in, a gazebo and little garden plots. It's really cool. I have only met the staff one time, but everybody has been really pleasant. Their meal service is really good. The physical appearance of the community is really nice and new. And the value for the money is exceptional."

"I toured Discovery Village at Deerwood. I like the options as far as the meals. I thought the atmosphere was good or better than the other places that I visited. All of them were very accommodating and friendly. I felt that this would offer more value for your money. The food was good. The fitness program was good. The activity seemed to be excellent. They had a director for the activities. The facility was new, very fresh, and clean."

"I toured Windsor Pointe of Jacksonville. The apartment sizes and types were quite impressive, as well as the number of dining facilities. It was a very complete building. They had a spa and an art room. You can live there and feel very comfortable. The person that took me on the tour was the Director of Sales. I also met the Executive Chef, and I was extremely impressed. They were very helpful and very interested. I just didn't have an opportunity to see many of the residents. Probably the only thing that I wasn't really excited about was that the first floor had patios associated with them, but you could not exit the patio into the pool area. In order to get to the pool, you had to come out of your room, go to the lobby, and then go through an exit door to the pool. It didn't seem like the patio was really worth anything."
