I really like Curtis Creek Senior Living, but it's only independent living. I like the apartments and the balcony. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it. When we pulled up there, there was a man out there with a dog, and he was friendly. It was nice and warm that day, and the residents were outside, and they were all friendly. We went in, and the young girl offered to help me and she took us to some apartments and showed us around, showed us where to eat, and showed us where the laundry was. There was a nice spot up on the second floor with a fireplace and a couch, and stuff. She said you could go there and either listen to music or watch TV, or whatever. They have three meals a day, plus snacks and coffee in between times. It's kind of like a restaurant. You go in and they tell you what they have, and you can either order that or they have something in place if you don't like that. It was very clean because they had just finished remodeling. They'd been doing some painting and putting the carpet down. Even the rooms that I saw that hadn't been finished yet looked fine. The staff was very nice, and every time I've been there, which I've done three times, she's always helped me and talked to me. In fact, today on my computer, I got an invitation to a Halloween thing that they're having on the 31st. Before, I have gotten invitations for things they were having by mail. She sent me cards and invited me to come to things. She's even called me a few times just to chitchat and see how I'm doing. The dining area looked nice. It was like a restaurant. It had the square tables, and they were all fixed up nicely. They take them shopping, some, and they have people come in. I've seen on Facebook that they've had the police in for coffee, and a while back, they had some government officials there. They had people come in there and sing. They play music. It just struck me as a place I wanted to be when I went in there. They had redone a lot. The staff showed me some really nice apartments. Some of them were finished, some of them weren't. I was mostly interested in the one-bedroom. They have an elevator. They have a nice gathering place downstairs where everybody can sit around if they want to. I would be happy there.

Curtis Creek Senior Living fits my budget. The place is beautiful. They have balconies here, and you're allowed to smoke outside. The grounds are also beautiful. They do a lot to keep them up. The only problem right now is being so far from my family. They don't like it. At first, they were OK with it, and now that I've been here for almost two years, they want me to come back home. I have a studio that is a very nice size. It has a bathroom in the back, so I don't have to worry about that (I hate it when the bathroom is off the front door). They have transportation twice a week and tons of activities, everything from exercise classes every morning, all the way to bingo in the afternoon. They do all kinds of things there. I'm not involved in them. I have my own things to do. The food is outstanding. They have chefs that work in the kitchen, and then there's a wait staff. They have a daily selection of what the specials are, and then they have a menu of other things that you can get if you don't want what's on the special. Everything has changed now, and I don't know a lot of the new ownership. A lot of the staff that was here when I got here have left. So, the staff is in flux, but they provide good service for the fee they charge.

I toured Curtis Creek Senior Living. The facility is beautiful, and I was going to have a great room there, but it's not going to work out. It's too expensive. The layout was great because it opened up. You had two places to get out: a door to the outside, which would have been perfect, and a grassy area to which I could have taken my dog out, but I can't afford that, unfortunately. It looks beautifully clean, and the facility is not that old. The person I dealt with was very nice, kind, and helpful. It's a very nice place.

To me, Curtis Creek was very clean and open. I liked the atmosphere there. We saw somebody in there that was playing music and it seemed like everybody was into it. The people were super. I didn't see an issue with them at all. The facilities were also super. You couldn't complain about that.

The tour at Curtis Creek was wonderful. Cara was very helpful. She showed us three different places, and she showed us the highlights like the exercise room and the chapel. She was very informative and very helpful, and she answered questions and stuff. The staff was very good. She invited us to have lunch with her. My sister and I went back and had lunch with her, and the service was great, and the people were great. We even got out to meet the chef. The rooms were very nice. People had just moved out not too long ago, so they just need to be fixed. The food was great. We have a lot of choices. They wait on you and all the staff communicate very well with the patients. It was very, very friendly. They just had a Mardi Gras party like the week before, and the staff told us they got a carnival coming up in March. She showed us pictures of a Valentine's party they've had. The residents were still ranting and raving about that, how good a time they had. It was a very good tour.

My mother was a resident of Curtis Creek. She was independent so she went down to lunch and they had people waiting on her, just like in a restaurant. She had a 1-bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette and a living room. They have a washer and dryer that she had access to, they had activities -- like they went to the mall for Christmas -- and they also played bingo and card games.

Curtis Creek was wonderful. The people were very nice, helpful, and friendly. The food was great, and there's always something going on, or they can have quiet time. It's in a quiet area since it's not in town. They have activities and places to sit. They also have a library. Everything's included like food, utilities, and transportation. My mother-in-law is independent.

We visited Curtis Creek. The apartments were very nice, comfortable, and attractive. The residents seemed reasonably happy, cared for, and active. The staff seemed very concerned and caring with the residents, friendly, and welcoming to us. They have a library, a lounge area for relaxation, but I would like to see opportunity for physical fitness there. Overall, it was an attractive place, and they made it worth considering.

My mom moved in to Curtis Creek. The quality of services is very good. I think it is worth it for other people to explore. The staff is very caring and open to suggestions. It is a place that I think people should look into if they need support for their family. They have something everyday for the members, and you can choose to participate of not. There are some days that my mom participates and some days that she doesn't. They have social meetings, et cetera. The food is excellent. They offer three meals a day. I think their price is reasonable compared to other independent and assisted living. I will recommend them to others.
