I went to King-Bruwaert House. It's a beautiful, spectacular place that I've known since I was a child. It's beautiful. Beautiful architecture, beautiful trees, beautiful buildings. It's as wonderful as any place could be. I volunteered there. It is in my neighborhood. I've known about it since I was probably seven years old when I was a little Girl Scout. I sang Christmas carols to the old ladies. Now I'm going to be one of the old ladies. A salesman showed me the proposed layout. They've not completed building the apartments yet, and we took a little tour of the area. I've not seen the apartment that I'm going to be living in yet. It's still under construction. The food is fantastic. I've been there for parties. It's fantastic food. They have regular exercise and chair exercise for six days. They have an art room, a gym, a movie theater, and a library. They have a chapel. I guess the only thing they don't have is just a swimming pool, which I would not use anyway. It's a very, very expensive place.

King-Bruwaert House was OK. It was very expensive, but if you run out of money, they do not kick you out. They will still care for you. It's not as lavish as when you could afford it, but they won't kick you out. The rooms were OK. There was nothing great. It was just a little stuffy. They have a library and nice grounds. The staff was OK, but the person that was showing me around was not very welcoming.

My parents are staying in King-Bruwaert House. That place is awesome; it's off the top of the chart. There's nothing like it. It is way beyond all expectations. It's gorgeous. The staff and the services are off the top of the chart. They're awesome. The staff has been helpful. They regularly take the residents to downtown Chicago to see plays, they have high school and junior high bands come in and sing jazz songs, they have social hour with martinis and wines, and they have movie nights. One thing that's lacking that really bothers me is even though they have all kinds of exercising areas, they don't have an adult warm bath pool for doing aerobics in. I think in a super, high-quality community like that they should have a warm bath pool for seniors. When I ate there, I wasn't really all that impressed with the couple of meals I had, but they were OK. The service was unbelievable. Other than that, the community is awesome.

My mother is already at King Bruwaert House, and the service is very good. The food is 5 stars. It’s very far from me though, and that’s my only objection.

King-Bruwaert House actually has a couple of levels. It has assisted living and an infirmary type of nursing home if you get ill. If a person needs more assistance, they don't have to change their facility. They stay in the same place and move back and forth in the system as needed. I think the facility is beautiful. It is located in a nice wooded area. Their little villages are very well maintained, and the people there are happy. It is a beautiful and serene place.
