"We found The Westmont for my mother, and she's happy there. It was way better than anything we saw. She's in a studio size apartment, and it was extremely clean, but they also had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. We're very pleased with it, and my mom loves it. "

"I toured Monte Vista Village Senior Living. The person that I spoke with spent time with me. She was not rushing me. They have a nice little facility there, and she showed me some of the apartments. I think they have a studio, one bedroom, and they only have, like 1 or 2, two bedrooms, and they're in the process of upgrading some of those as people move out. I had no complaints about her at all, or the facility. It is just laid out in a nice little circle. We have a little courtyard area. I have nothing negative to say about the facility. The parts that I saw, it was very clean and very nice. We went through the activity room, and there were all kinds of tables, chairs, puzzles, and cards. There were things to do, but nobody was in there at that point."

"We had my mother here for several months before she died. She received really good care there. They always had a lot of people interacting and cooking on the stove, so it had a very homey atmosphere. They were always busy doing something, and the food they had for Thanksgiving was really good."

I think they were up to $3000 to live there monthly and that's way out of my line. The staff was nice."

"I visited Right Choice Senior Living, and then I also spoke to the owner on the phone. The owner, for some reason, didn't know that I was going to be there, so he wasn't there. One of the caregivers assisted me. The tour was good. I liked it. Edgar was the caregiver, and he seemed to be very attentive to each resident. Each resident wasn't tied to a strict schedule. The residents could go outdoors if they wanted, but no gym or library that I was shown."

"We visited Lantern Crest Assisted Living. It’s a 2-year-old community, so the whole place is very clean, organized, well managed as well as well maintained. In case mom needs to make an appointment, they take her to her doctors' appointments. "

"I toured AvantGarde Senior Living of La Jolla. The staff told me that my friend wouldn't be able to have a private room, but the papers that the social worker had sent me said that he could have a private room. The staff was awesome. It's very clean, but it is an older place. They've got it fixed up real cute, but I didn't like the shared rooms. It was a good atmosphere. It seemed like all the patients who were there were very happy. The shared room has a curtain in between down the middle, just like a hospital room. It's in a beautiful location. It's right in the middle of La Jolla. It's near the water. You can take the bus, and it drops you off right near there. It's a beautiful neighborhood that they're in."

"We toured Belmont Village La Jolla. They were nice. It's too expensive and too much of a commute for my brother. They had activities. The food was great. They had a courtyard. They had views. They had all kinds of interactions with the residents. They had outings for the residents. They were just wonderful. The rooms were big and spacious, and the studios were wonderful."
