"Kettle Moraine Gardens is a brand-new place. It's a nice facility. The rooms are a little bit bigger than the other two that we toured. The staff was outstanding, and it helped that she has family members that are also there. They have a good activity program that we looked into. It seems that they are a little bit more engaging than the other two places that we've toured. We looked at their activity schedule, and it seemed like they were playing cards and bingo. It was just overall welcoming and homey. The staff members were caring, asked a lot of good questions about my mom, and were generally concerned. They have gardens that you can work with later in the year. They have a spa, which my mom likes."

"My mother has received great services by a caring staff. They offer many activities to keep the residents happy and active. I find it to be a clean, bright and caring community. They truly care about the residents and their needs. "

"My father has moved into Prairie Ridge Assisted Living - Waupun. The rooms are a very nice size. They have a lot of open spaces where you can go do activities. It's just a nice and friendly atmosphere when you walk in. I think they are very on top of things. I had to take my dad to the doctor for something. When I came back, I said, "I'm not sure he's going to do this. Would you please make sure you keep an eye on him?" They wrote it down on the chart, and they've been very good about it. They follow through. The staff is very friendly. When you walk through the door, they'll ask if they can help you. They always greet you and say, "Hi, how are you doing?" They're very, very nice. I have not had any issues so far. My dad was there also about six years ago after he had some surgery, and he couldn't be on his own. He got better and left. I couldn't tell the difference inside and outside of the building. It's very well kept. The shrubbery outside is all trimmed nice, and the lawn was cut every week. The carpets looked like they were vacuumed quite frequently. They clean his apartment, and they do a very nice job. It looks nice there. They always have puzzles out. They have a TV in the main area that people can go to, and once a month people can sign up, like last month they went to Walmart and Hobby Lobby, and then they went out to eat. I think that's nice that they're able to get out and have a nice day. They always have something every day and it's always written on the whiteboard what they're going to be doing. They go down into the rooms and tell the people who don't come, "Hey, this is going to start. You want me to take you down there?" They are encouraging them. My dad doesn't need a lot of care right now and I know the more care, the higher the price is, but it's still pretty pricy. I would have no problem recommending them."

"My mother-in-law was here for several years and her treatment was WONDERFUL. The food was good. Her treatment was appropriate and very respectful. My relatives and I dropped in to visit as often as we could and were always greeted warmly by the staff who answered any and all questions cheerfully and effectively. There were activities to help the clients interact and maintain their physical well being. The facility is constructed so that no client will ever be in a "wrong" place since if they keep walking in the same direction they will inevitably end up by their room again. The ratio of caretakers to clients is excellent and they must be screened before being hired since I never met a "sourpuss" in the bunch. There are a number of common spaces where families can have semi-private interactions and, for a small price, they were even willing to let us have our meals with her. I would give more than 5 stars if possible. "

"Prairie Ridge Assisted Living seemed like a nice place. It was large and all on one level. It was a small apartment that they showed me. There was a very nice meeting place or a lounge when you walked in, and that's where they ate. There were several tables and chairs in there, and it looked nice. They would have supplied the care my mom needed. I didn't see anything going on when I was there, although they said they had activities. There was an activity area and I think that takes place where they eat, in that same room. It was like a big lobby when you walked in. The staff who assisted me was somewhat pretty informative. It was a nurse's aide, and she seemed alright."

"At Tower View the residents are given very good care and concern. The meals are great and activities are provided for those who can participate. "

"The Deerview Meadows assisted living facility in Mayville, Wisconsin looked like a nice place to live. We were searching for a new home for our uncle. The exterior was really beautiful and it really looked like someone took the time to design the facility with the senior's needs in mind. The grounds were well manicured and accessible for safe use by the seniors.This facility had ample community rooms including a well-stocked library and a number of stimulating activities. The exercise center includes daily yoga and aerobics exercise classes. Residents may also safely navigate the lovely garden pathways and courtyards on the property. Private rooms were thoughtfully designed with beautiful living spaces that featured larger rooms and security features. The programs they have are designed to accommodate any level of ambulation and care, which changes easily according to the resident's needs. The dining room offers a nice variety of meal options, plus they will make special requests. There was also a healthy number of snacks available as requested. The calendar of events included arts, crafts, festivals, shopping, culture, eateries, art, music, library and films. The residents are also treated to many socials planned at the facility. The staff was very kind and accessible throughout our visit. They check on all of the residents regularly to ensure their safety and comfort. Clearly, the residents really enjoy living there and it looked like a great place for seniors to retire. "

"My mother-in-law is in Matthews of Horicon. The overall experience is fair. We like the activities director and the homey feeling. The thing we like least about it is that they are understaffed. Half of the staff members are great, and half of them suck. My mother-in-law hasn't had any complaints about the food. They have a salon."

"We visited Eagles Wings while in the area looking at assisted living facilities to consider for our uncle. The outside had lovely grounds with nicely landscaped shrubs, trees and lawns as well as ample seating areas.We could see that they can accommodate a variety of ambulation levels and as needs change, the care team adjusts accordingly. There were ample community rooms for a variety of stimulating activities such as reading, games, socials, physical exercise and hosted events The fitness center had regular exercise classes, such as stretch and yoga and aerobics classes. There are also personal trainers who come regularly to instruct the residents. The meal menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets, as well as healthy snacks regularly offered whenever residents request them.The dining room was nicely designed with comfortable furnishings. The meals we saw looked and smelled appetizing. The outside activities feature many interesting cultural events in the wonderful Beaver Dam and surrounding areas, like films, art and other interesting cultural gatherings. The private spaces had nice, personalized decorations and easy access furnishings with privacy, fresh air and light. We were impressed with how nicely designed all of the living spaces were, and how comfortable the seniors appeared. The staff was also very tender, thoughtful and accommodating. "

"I wouldn't let my pet stay in this facility. The management is only concerned about their paycheck and maintaining their 20+ year of control. Residents are routinely denied general pain reliever, restricted fluids & given poor unhealthy food choices - despite the provider's claims. Psychiatric re-evaluation occurs only once every 3 months and does not involve any staff except the manager of the facility. Residents are responsible for all snow removal. Staff are highly unprofessional - bring their pets to the facility or their children during their working hours. "

"My mom is at Hope Senior Living. All of the staff members are very kind and helpful. She has been in the rehab side of it twice now, and she just got moved into the senior living apartments a week ago, but at both times in rehab and now this time in the senior living apartment, she said that everybody is very, very helpful and kind. She is happy with the services she has been getting the entire time. They serve three meals a day, and then with the assisted living, they give you as much help as you need, which I'm sure most of them do. Right now, because of her amputation on her foot, she needs extra help getting into and out of bed, and so they are there for that. They come down to her room, and they wheel her up to the lunch room instead of her having to try to get there herself or something. They're really making it easier for this first month or two with a little bit of extra care than what she is hoping she might need in the future. The staff members are very caring. They seem to be truly interested in her and what she needs. The food is pretty good. My mom used to be a home economics teacher, so of course, we grew up on all healthy homemade meals, so she is kind of having to adjust to things like tater tots and chicken nuggets here and there. She is pickier that way because she wouldn't normally feed us that type of thing at home, so she has to do a little adjusting with more of the prepackaged type stuff. The facilities are very clean. We've watched the cleaning girl do each room individually. She is even wiping down the lamp cords. It is a very detailed cleaning. I wouldn't have any complaints with that at all. Activities are going on every day. I looked at it for today, and I think they had something like shoulder massage, manicure, or fingernail clipping. They have a coffee clutch and a trivia session. Each day is something different. They had bingo. One other day, they had live music. One was a polka type band, and another one was a guy that took requests from the clients. They were all very into that, and it was good. So they have several activities a day. They really try to switch it up and have different things."

"At Maplecrest Manor, everything was fine but seemed pricey. The staff I met was very nice. They had nice outside areas and guest rooms. It was a very nice, u-shaped facility with a nice courtyard in the center. "
