"I was a patient at altoona center for nursing care. The center was very clean. The housekeeper that cleaned my room was awesome she did a great job. The room always smells so clean. The staff is amazing when you ring your call bell they answer it very quickly. Therapy is so helpful the employees in the therapy room are very nice. Over all I will definitely recommend this facility to everyone that needs help."

"I chose Graystone Manor for my husband, and he got very good care there. When the time came, they let hospice come in and help take care of him, and the girls were really exceptionally nice. It's assisted, and they have different levels of care. I live in the senior facility. It was reasonably priced, and it's a beautiful place. They keep it nice and clean; you don't smell a lot of odors. The staff was very good, very friendly. The food was delicious. I could take my meals with him if I wanted to. It was very inexpensive for me to eat there. The food was very nicely presented in the dining room with tablecloths and napkins. They have private rooms, and then they have rooms that you share. They have a couple of big rooms that a husband and wife can share. They have an activities director, and she has something every day going on. They do exercises and crafts. They play different games. They have entertainment all the time. "

"Moving here was the smartest thing I have ever done. I live in independent living in a fully functioning facility. There is everything any could possibly need or want . In addition to cottages,, apartments, a bank, a country store, a hair salon, a pool and workout equipment there is a complete 're hab center, nursing unit, assisted living and Alzheimer's unit. The staff and residents are equally kind . The restaurant and cafe are exceptional. "

"My sister is at The Village at Morrisons Cove. She's in independent living, but she gets some assistance. It's been wonderful. They were very informative and contacted me right back. They go from assisted to more assisted and then to nursing, so it's like a three-level step. They have the very independent living there. Then they go to another kind of apartment where they can have some assistance, such as with medication, other reminders, or assistance with meals. Then they go to a higher level of need, such as more nursing or more elderly care. It is why I chose that one. In other words, she doesn't have to move. She's in that same facility. She remembers everybody, and she has the same people taking care of her. The care is really good, and the facility is clean. They're very professional, and they have real nurses on-staff, not just med techs."

"This facility seems very nice from the outside and as soon as you walk in, but after you're there for a few minutes, the real scene unfolds. The staff doesn't come to the need of residents right away but are instead sitting down at a table chatting together, when they do answer the call bells most are not pleasant: yelling, attitudes, mocking residents, being rough. Aside from the unfriendly staff, the facility itself was dirty; dust at least 3 inches thick on ceiling fans that were blowing, scattering dust around, dirty tables, food on floor and tables. We got to meet with the owner of the facility, along with 2 other facilities. He has a crude sense of humor and doesn't seem to get to know the residents on a personal level which to me is a key priority to owning/operating a long time care facility to make the rest of their lives enjoyable. I would never put a family member of my own in this facility, and am glad I don't have to go back! "

"The rooms were clean and she was happy with the way the staff treated her. Given healthy snacks and great meals. Had lunch with her on many occasions there. "

"Cambridge Ebensburg is quaint, and there's not a lot of residents in the memory care. My dad is getting a little bit more attention than he would have from some of the other ones that are more packed. My interactions with the staff have been good. Most of them have given me their personal numbers to call them or text them, so that I can keep an eye on him or even Facetime him."

"My father is in memory care at Colonial Courtyard at Tyrone. It's awesome and we haven't had any problems so far. They're very clean and they're very attentive to my father. We talked to several other people and they recommended it very highly. The people there were friendly and the meals were very good. Everything was very adequate."

"We visited Arotin's Hummingbird Estate. It's kind of new. I loved it. The owner worked at a different place that was quite large, and she wanted to have a smaller place where she could hire the people and make sure that the residents were well taken care of. So there were only 13 people there when we were at Arotin's Hummingbird Estate. It was quiet. In the vicinity where it is, you could look out the window and see train tracks, or you could look out another window and see the trees. It's just a lovely place. And everybody was so friendly. No matter who came out of their rooms and saw us sitting, they would say, 'If you're coming here, you're coming to the best place. It's wonderful here. The food is delicious. We're well taken care of.' The place is so beautiful, and the rooms are so spacious, that I can't get over it. They have private rooms and semi-private rooms."

"I have only great things to say about Epworth Manor. My mother has been a resident at Epworth since September. I really didn't think she would live a week. It is now February and she is thriving thanks to the care she has gotten there. I would recommend Epworth Manor to anyone! "
