The 5 Best Assisted Living Facilities in South Jersey, NJ for 2024

New Jersey has three geographical sectors, North Jersey, Central Jersey and South Jersey. South Jersey includes the southern area of the state below the Delaware River and state 195, including eight counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem County. These eight counties offer seniors easy access to the peaceful New Jersey Shore, the nightlife of Atlantic City and countless acres of farming, giving New Jersey its nickname The Garden State.

The Genworth 2019 Cost of Care Survey provides assisted living cost-of-care amounts for regional areas in the United States. To provide the average cost-of-care for South Jersey, we will look at the combined Genworth averages for the Vineland area, Ocean City and the Atlantic City area. The Vineland area averages $4,600 a month for assisted living, with Ocean City at $4,896 and the Atlantic City area at $5,200. Each of these areas is higher than the national average of $4,051 per month for assisted living.
