My mother is in Hummingbird Assisted Living Home. The owner is a lovely, experienced lady. It's only a five-resident group home, so it's small and has an assistant there 24/7. They provide meals and whatever she needs, like assistance with dressing, bathing, cleaning her room, and her laundry. Right now, there's a husband and wife and two other residents with her. The staff seems very good. The owner is the one there during the day, Monday through Friday, and she is wonderful. They don't have activities, and that's what's lacking. It's comfortable and clean, like living in a home with four bedrooms and two baths. They have a nice backyard where Mom can go out and sit in the sun. The couple is vegan, and they provide special meals for them. The price is competitive. She has a private room and shares a bath for $2,800. It's pretty comparable.
