"I visited here. I have a brother-in-law that's in the nursing part of it too. It is very good. The apartments are very nice, there's one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, whatever you want. I looked at the dining room. In fact, I ate there. I'd say the food is very good. The staff is also good. We've been very pleased with them. It is very clean. They have their own pharmacy."

"I went to The Springs of Mill Lakes. It was alright except it was right on Highway 280 and it was just noisy as an interstate, so I said no. The homes were beautiful. I met one young woman who was the manager, and she was delightful. They had a swimming pool and a lovely club room. Of course, nobody was in there because nobody can go anywhere these days. We're all locked down."

"My father has been at Lakewood Senior Living of Smiths for seven years, and he is happy. It is small, there are only 16 residents, and the people that work there are just wonderful. He has a one-bedroom apartment with a big closet, a big bath, and a bedroom. I love the food. They have lots of activities going on all the time. A lot of it is church centered. They have sitting exercises. It is like a home type environment, and there are no shared rooms. In the last two years, he has gotten a little quarrelsome because he is 98 years old, and they just handle him very nicely. I am very pleased with that. "

Each employee personally knows the names of both of my great grandmothers and takes the time to get to know them as well! They are so sweet and truly do provide them with all of their needs. They allow the residents to participate in weekly bingo, board games, arts and crafts, and they highly encourage them to get out of their rooms and be active when possible! "

"My mother spent three weeks at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital and she just went back on Wednesday night. They just moved her from the hospital. The staff is just great. I like the staff. They're good, prompt, and thorough. Sometimes, they're not going to come right away because they're probably dealing with another patient, but when they're with your loved one, they're attentive. I like it. It's an excellent facility. The physical therapist, the case manager, and even the pharmacist call me. My mom is on pureed food, but to me it's OK. I love the staff. Every night, they come in. They introduce themselves when they change shifts. It's so comfortable. Thursday night, while I was in there with my mom, the lady next to my mom started throwing up and rolled over her back, so I ran out in the hall to call someone. They came right in and they were there for at least an hour taking care of her because she just kept throwing up. They call someone else to cover the other patients. The staff I saw was Kevin and the other lady. Even when I was taking care of my mom last night, the girl came in because Kevin was busy processing people. Kevin was the one assigned to mom. The other lady covered for Kevin because mom went to the bathroom. I saw them do that two days in a row. It's clean. If you use the bathroom when you first come into the building, that's clean. It's a cozy, friendly, and warm environment. Her insurance covers everything, so we're not paying out-of-pocket."

"My mother was at PCHC until her death in August, 2020. She enjoyed her stay there and was well-cared for. I can’t say enough good things about the CNAs, with a couple exceptions, the caretakers, and Dr Z, the doctor who visited weekly and was quick to respond to questions or concerns. Mother had been at a memory care facility in Columbus before her move to PCHC. The difference in care was dramatic and so very comforting. I didn’t have to worry about her from my home in Texas. Her room was small but fine for her needs, the facility is clean and fresh-smelling, the activities, like Bingo, church services, and occasional outside gatherings, are fun and sufficient in number, and the residents make friends of other residents and staff. Mother loved having her hair done in the salon. I would recommend PCHC to anyone looking for a a skilled-nursing facility for their loved ones."

"The physical facility itself was in good shape, and the furnishings, both in the entrance and in the common areas for the residents, were well maintained. The residents' rooms, even those that had some decoration, were very institutional and the feeling that one got was that more could be done to make the physical appearance more hospitable. There was throughout the areas where the residents' rooms were, a distinct bad smell. The staff seemed to be helpful to the residents, but there was also the feeling that some, while not neglected, could have received kinder treatment. The residents that I came into contact with were sometimes critical of the staff and the attention that they didn't get. They did provide the residents not only with care, but also games, activities, and visiting church groups, which could all be seen on calendars throughout the resident hallways. Some of the staff were bright and cheery, while other seemed to not have as happy a demeanor. Perhaps, this was due to overwork, or the nature of working in a caregiving facility. "

"My mother-in-law is in a geriatric ward in Medical Center Barbour. This facility is fine, and they're giving her what she needs. The staff is very nice and good. It's a hospital, and everything I've experienced there so far has been fine. "

"The Harbor at Opelika was very nice. The lady that did the tour was very good and very helpful. They had private and shared rooms. They were all nice and good-sized. They also had a courtyard and the same activities as the other facilities such as exercises. They just did not have any openings during my visit and they were more expensive."

"In the next two weeks, I'll be moving into Miles Crossing Senior Residences. It was brand new. I looked at it, and it's very nice. It was also affordable. I think they did a great job. The setup is nice. The amenities are okay. It's what I need, so I'm fine with it. They have a theater room, a workout room, and a gathering room, so it's pretty nice. The outside area is really nice, so you can invite family members and have cookouts or even walk, so it's nice. We all have our own kitchen spaces, too. I have nothing bad to say about it."

"Parkwood is an extended stay nursing home for clients with a number of disabilities. I went to this place because my client wasnt specific about anything they were looking for other than the place not having too many nursing home dificiencies. To my surprise, I didnt find any reported deficiencies since the beginning of 2010. Thats over a year. Way to go!! :) "
