My father (92) which was on his journey to heaven, was admitted to this facility several weeks ago for continued physical therapy. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted & introduced to staff. One person stood out from the rest which was Pumpkin. She's a great asset to this facility in terms of being extremely helpful, while maintaining a professional attitude. SHe's a bubbly person, I was afraid of leaving him she introduced me to the doctors , nurses. This was the first time I had to leave my father with strangers he was nervous as well. However we quickly got over being nervous after speaking with her. Pumpkin has a way to make you feel like home, let's not forget the other staff very pleasant will answer all questions almost immediately. The facility was clean, witnessed constant cleaning daily. Their's an area where patients can come out for a lil sun, daily activies for patients as well. Again for children of elderly parents which need medical attention this would be the place knowing they are being well taken care. Kudos to Pumpkin you are that shining star in this facility. Southern Springs Nursing home located in small town of Union Springs Alabama was home to several friends and family over the course of its year of servitude to the people that lived in Bullock County and all surrounding areas. I visited the facility numerous times during the course of my life from childhood to adulthood. My experience with the faculty has always been a positive one. An elderly cousin of mine lived out the rest of her days in this home and the staff did everything possible to make sure that her last few days on this earth was as comfortable as they could possibly be. During several visits they had nice activities for the residents such as choirs, boy and girl groups and local secular celebrities often stopped by to enteratin and offer encouragement. This facility cares for it people and give an attempt to create a nice place to refer to has home.
