My mother-in-law was in Self Nursing Home for rehab for 31 days, and they were really nice to her. The staff was very nice. The food was like hospital food, but it was OK.

My experience with Self-Nursing Home was great. It was quiet and clean. They served breakfast, lunch and dinner for my mom and dad. The staff was great. There was one person per room and the room was good. I had one look at two places and this one was clean, it was quiet, and it didn't have people sitting or hanging outside. It was a nice, clean place.

I have visited Hueytown Retirement Lodge many times with my church growing up. Sometimes it was for Christmas or just to visit. The people that work at this assisted living facility were very nice and friendly. They seemed to really know what they were doing, and took care of their patients in a very caring compassionate way. Everyone always had a smile on their faces including the patients. I believe that it is very important for elderly people to really be as happy as they possibly can be in assisted living and retirement homes. The people that stay at the Hueytown Retirement Lodge seem to be very happy and have everything they need.I would highly recommend this place if you or someone you know are considering placing someone in the care of an assisted living facility.
