"We are fairly new to Endearment, under a year. My wife is almost completely incapacitated with primary progressive multiple sclerosis. She needs personal care three times a day: getting up and ready for the day first thing in the morning, toileting and other services mid-afternoon, and put to bed at night. I too am disabled, so I am unable to do a lot of those things for her. We live in our own condo and hope to stay here. The staff of Endearment has been fine. All of them are capable. We have never experienced any less than well performed tasks such as washing, dressing, transfers using the Hoyer lift, etc. -- all the usual services performed by certified nurses assistants. All of the staff has been personable, friendly, in a word "nice" most of the time. The only reason I rate Endearment three stars instead of four is that from time to time reliability has been spotty; that is, assigned staff has not been available. On two occasions, my wife has been left to spend the night up to twenty-four hours in her wheel chair without care due to unavailability of staff. To her credit, more than once the manager has filled in and on one occasion drove back from Chicago, where she had been visiting with her family. Still, the occasional unavailability of services causes me to drop my rating from four stars to three. "

"Heartland Hospice has somebody with my mom everyday. They are very friendly people. They go out of their way to help you. They answer all of your questions. They have a nurse that comes in, and they have a housekeeper that comes in. They also have a therapist and a social worker that comes to the home. All of them are very good. The scheduling and billing are really good. "

"I was in a state of emergency when I first contacted BrightStar Care in Baraboo. My parents (ages 88 & 84) are in independent living of a senior community. Father has dementia and Mother is his primary caregiver. When Mother suddenly came down with gout and was unable to walk or get in and out of bed on her own, that's when BrightStar Care came in to help. They came in twice a day to help with Mother & Father. Help included assisting with dressing, making breakfast, massaging (i.e. putting cream on their arms and legs), taking short walks, and having simple conversations. "We have been working with Interim HealthCare of Madison, WI. It's only been for a couple of days, but we were very pleased with how responsive they were to our requests for information and with their follow- up in person with my sister. Also, they were able to start their skilled in-home assistants the day after my sister returned to her apartment and the non-skilled started the following days, so that's where we're at. They appear to be quite flexible in adjusting the level of care that they're providing based on our needs."

"My mother-in-law is using SSM Health Therapy Services. They're very efficient and they're very caring. They call the day ahead to let you know when they're coming. They're very good with their directions and the lady comes in and helps with the shower, etc., she's very pleasant. They're all very pleasant, friendly and professional. They do what they say they're going to do and they do it in a timely fashion. Their services are OT, PT, and nurse, and help us with bathing."

"We contracted with Agape after struggling with lack in consistency dealing with another provider. Agape was timely In setting up a schedule and upfront about the scope of their services. They have been providing evening caregiving for my mother-in-law who has dementia. They were able to secure a main caregiver, which was key. We can’t say enough good things about Mom’s caregiver. She is on-time for her visits and very dependable. She is caring and respectful and engages Mom in conversion or puzzles or music prior to evening personal cares. We have witnessed first hand the rapport she has with Mom and the trust which has been developed with the caregiver. Agape has been responsive to any questions we have had. The billing process has gone very smoothly as well. We are very happy with their services, which allows mom to remain in her own home."

"We're very happy with Midwest Family Care. My mom likes her caregiver and things are working out really well. We've been using them for eight weeks already. They help with general housekeeping chores, taking my mother to appointments, some cooking, running errands, and a little bit of cleaning. We'd like them to be able to do more in the way of assisting with bathing. Their work attitude is pretty good. I was real impressed with the people on the telephone when I interviewed them initially. The main manager was very professional in the way she answered the questions and the other manager has been very accessible."

I haven't used her services yet as I am proactively helping to get backup care plans in place for an elderly relative, but I will definitely reach out to her when we get to that point. "
