Love In Home Senior Care

This regards the so-called Caregiving company, Love in Home of Spokane Washington. I arrange to have care for my 100% service connected disabled US veteran husband, aged 75 yrs, who has a formal diagnosis with the VA Hospital of having Alzheimer's dementia, with traumatic brain injury. Recently we signed up with Love in Home. We only had them for a little while. A caregiver showed up for a shift on a day I had expressly indicated to their caregiver coordinator would be a very bad day for my disabled husband and myself. She was morbidly obese and would have been a safety hazard in our home. She, after showing up on what we indicated would be an exceptionally inconvenient day for us then stood around with her thumb in her ear, so to speak. She seemed clueless. I called the Love in Home designated caregiver coordinator whom had been indicated to me was to be our point person at Love in Home. I was greatly polite and cordial with this individual. She immediately became rude and impatient with me, blew me off and told me that, from then on, I was to call the receptionist at the office of Love in Home. As the 24/7 caregiver to my severely disabled elderly husband I am under severe stress and pressure and do NOT deserve to be put down like this Love in Home caregiver coordinator did. I myself am over 65 and also legally disabled. She gave me the proverbial " bum's rush," and was clearly disrespectful of me as a person. Right after this, I contacted Love in Home (so called) and cancelled our contract with them as they were, obviously a VERY bad fit. I absolutely would NOT RECOMMEND LOVE IN HOME CAREGIVER SERVICES after this unacceptable incident. I feel they do not care but are only interested in turning a profit as witnesses the unconscionable treatment their caregiver coordinator gave me as the spouse and 24/7 default caregiver while I was being quite respectful and civil with her.

I'm using Love In Home Senior Care. They offer anything you want. They interview you to see what your needs and wants are. I don't need any personal care at all. I just need help with things that take more than one person, just companionship or light housekeeping. We went outside and worked in the yard to put some things away from the summer. We went errand shopping one day, and she did some vacuuming and dishwashing for me. They have to come at four hours at a time, but I'm having a hard time finding four hours worth of work. We baked cookies one day, and we had a lot of fun. They help with your medicine or with your care or cooking. I like it. You can have them come once a month or every week or two or three times a week, or whatever you want or need. They only require 24-hour cancellation. They don't require a lot of advance notice if you change your mind. They try very hard to have the same person come unless you have an issue with them and would rather have somebody else.
