Acti-Kare provides an in home aide to help my brother with minor housekeeping, fixing some meals, and making sure he takes his medication on time. It has been a big help for us. I and my brother have been very pleased with the aide they sent out.

Acti-Kare has provided services for three of our family members. Their caregivers genuinely care about the patients, take pride in their work and are very timely. Acti-Kare themselves have been easy to work with for scheduling care needs, answering questions and ensuring our family members are getting great caregivers.

I believe we are signed up for 12 hours a week. Believe me the company does its best to fulfill our needs. When several caregivers found the distance too far after one visit, we changed the schedule to two six hour shifts. A bit long to have someone in the house but flexibility is paramount to good outcomes. They bathe Arthur, clean his room, dump garbage, change his bedding, and do laundry. They clean the kitchen, sweep and mop the floors. Vacume the livingroom and sometimes, when asked, they will dust or do windows! They clean the bathtub and counters in the bathroom. I hope they do the toilet. I ask for my bed to be changed every other week and am so thankful when the beds are made and all the laundry is complete, which is a rare feat beings Arthur puts off his bath until the last hour! Now that we have a bathtub lift I hope to get back to three four hour visits. I am working with Arthur on the importance of his bath taking place in the first hour so I don't end up with two loads of laundry to fold and put away once the caregiver leaves. One day, I hope this all works out for everyone! Four hours of free time for me, with a tidy home and clean patient to come home to. It depends a lot upon the patient and their willingness to work towards the same end.

Acti-Kare is contracted by the VA to care for my dad, who is on Hospice. The service is so outstanding that we siblings have met our match on best possible care for him. Violeta looks after him with great care, making sure he gets all his meals, helping keep him well hydrated, dressing him and cleaning up any kind of messes as needed, and his home is always neat and clean when she leaves. Violeta also helps my mom recall that she is to take care of herself and needs to get up and move around from time to time to keep up her strength (as in, she is Dad's helper and is not there to retrieve this or that for Mom). Mom has complained about this with previous caregivers but Violeta is so smooth with her encouragement that Mom rather takes pride in what she has learned to do for herself. Violeta has also collaborated with my sisters, myself, and the other caregivers to help make care practically seamless from person to person for Dad and has advocated for him when needed. We are very grateful for her attentive care.

Acti-Kare provided care to my Dad, who has Dementia, for a year. We had a wonderful caregiver who got along with Dad exceptionally and kept him happy, and occupied while I worked from home. Our Care Coordinator was Myah, who was great and always kept us in the loop. Her communication was always sufficient and she even stepped in to help with Dad when our caregiver had to leave. Dad is now is a Veterans home, but I truly appreciate all that Acti-Kare has done for my family and I!!

My husband is using Acti-Kare Responsive In Home Care. I'm pleased with the service. I have no negative replies concerning the service. They have accommodated my needs very satisfactorily. I use them three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. They're caring for my husband's needs, make sure his breakfast or lunch is prepared, if he chose to exercise, transporting from room to room, bathing, and general care. At this time, I'm real pleased with the service. I would highly recommend them to anyone else that is looking for a homecare service provider that would provide the best of care to the client and in making sure that their needs are being well taken care of. They also provide light housework, washing, doing the laundry if need be, kitchen needs, and cleaning, and dusting. I really am very pleased with the service as a whole.

I can't feed myself and I have trouble taking a shower without her help. She's very functional. She feeds me and she helps me to bathe. She just takes care of me. I'm very satisfied with Acti-Kare.

This agency is fabulous! I needed someone to pick me up after a surgery and watch me for 12 hours. I called the agency and within minutes received a call back. They had staff and were quick to provide me the paperwork to get this set up. The communication was excellent. I knew who was picking me and had a contact number for them. The employee picked me and took me back to my hotel. I slept most of the 12 hours. When I did wake she helped me to change my dressings. We ended up talking and losing track of time. I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this agency!!!

They filled the gap in my my brother’s care while we waited to move him from independent living to an adult family home. Some of the caregivers went well above and beyond their role, even bringing my brother home-baked treats! When I actually needed the care they provided me the service I needed in a very short period of time. Our companion care person is a great match for my wife. My father is under 24/7 care by this agency. They cook, do his laundry, get the mail, assist with bathing, etc. They will do anything basically Dad needs. The staff are like members of the family. They really care about the service they provide and making sure the clients are well taken care of. They arrive on time and keep each other well informed when they change shifts. When I go to visit my dad, I am always greeted by the caregivers and we catch up on life together, like old friends. There are even hugs when we haven't seen each other for a while! Any time we have had a concern, or a family member needs to speak to the head of the agency, she is totally responsive, will make sure she speaks to myself or my sisters since my dad doesn't hear very well, and ensure she has the right information. She also takes swift action when needed, and will correct any issues we may have. We switched to this agency from another in home agency and the satisfaction has been great, and it was well worth the change. You really can't go wrong hiring this agency for the complete and compassionate care they give their clients. Our family is very picky about the care our parents have received and we could not be happier with Acti-Kare!

My caregiver gives me showers, helps me dress, transfer to wheelchair, helps with bathroom functions, wash, dry fold and puts away laundry, dishes, vacuums rugs, sweeps and mops floors. Always arrives before or on time. If not able to, lets me know. Friendliness and attentive to my needs is a great help. The agency itself has been a great help staying aware of my care with phone calls and visits to me.
