We have FirstLight Home Care. They are for myself and my husband. We started out three days a week for four hours, and then at the beginning of this year, things got worse here, and our children felt that we needed round-the-clock care, and so we changed then. We do all that we can but they help us with dressing and they help with the laundry because the washing machine is downstairs and neither of us is able to go down. They help keep the house cleaned up. I do the meals but they help with it, too, and they also help with cleaning up afterwards. The caregivers are very good. They are on time.

I'm very satisfied every time I have FirstLight Home Care of Springfield's service. I have used them two different times and this most recent one I have used since October and prior to that, that was three or four years back. I have one of their care girls that works five days a week. They help me with bathing more or less. I'm not able to get up and out of a chair or to walk around. They take care of that and my medicines, and they help with general cleaning, too. I'm very satisfied with her. She is taking care of what needs to be taken care of.

My experience with FirstLight Home Care has been top notch. They really listened to my needs and found a perfect companion for my 95 year old mom suffering from Alzheimer’s. The caregiver always arrives on time and immediately checks in with me about how my mom and I are. Her asking is so meaningful because it always turns into a very heartfelt, informative and supportive discussion. My mom’s companion is always very involved and makes my mom feel very important by asking “ what would you like to do?” She listens and reacts to my mom’s comments by either keeping her busy and engaged with activities to keep her mind active or just letting her nap! The quality of care my mom received allows me time to myself so I can run errands or relax. I highly recommend FirstLight Home Care! They all really do care!

Iris was the first person that I encountered and her compassion and sincerity to ensure my needs were met, let me know that we could relax because they truly cared. What a sense of relief.
