What I needed was more help with him. They were trying to get him Medicaid and he has been approved, but I have some financial things to take care of before. The services that come through Medicaid will come through Synergy. The person who comes out in the evening spends her time with Herschel.

All the caregivers have been introduced by the owner to our family and they have great attention to deal. It is small and the owner is very involved in helping you. They are very patient-oriented.

They are able to do light house duties. She does not get around well, so they give her companionship, which is important because she lives alone. We have a caretaker who is really excellent. I can't speak for others, but she is excellent.

My mother was at an assisted living home, and they just watched her throughout the day to make sure she didn't leave the building. They said what they were going to do, showed up on time, and did their job.

They could have come every time they were supposed to. The last time, they didn't come because they decided someone else's care was more important than hers. I was not happy with them for not showing up. When they came, they were good. I wouldn't recommend them. They didn't show up half the time. They should come, when they are supposed to.

Since we now have them in the morning and evening, it is doubly as good. It is nice that they could come in the evening because it relieves a lot of stress. They are very nice and friendly. They work so hard at what they are doing. Our caregivers are miracles.

When they were here, they provided quality care. The issue was that we did not know they had only been in business for about a year. There were a couple of occasions where they assumed that when we were in town, they didn't have to provide support. I think they were resource constrained.
