I needed some short-term non-medical help around the house when I was recovering from heart bypass surgery, I contacted Griswold, and they were able to provide someone to help me, right away. I appreciated the speed with which they could act.

Other than some initial difficulties getting the schedule worked out the service has been absolutely fantastic. The Girswold office staff did an amazing job getting care for my mother-in-law lined up on what was very short notice. The care givers have been excellent as well and having them has enabled us to allow my mother-in-law to recover from major surgery in her own home instead of going to a rehab facility. Considering the current uncertainties centered around the Covid-19 pandemic, allowing an elderly patient to recover at home is a substantial advantage to both the family and the patient.

My family has been very happy with Griswold over the last nine months of utilizing their services to provide care for my mom (who has Alzheimer's). Christine and the office staff have been very helpful, responding quickly to any questions we have had about caregivers, scheduling, billing, insurance claims, etc. In addition, both caregivers assigned to care for my mom have been fantastic - very caring and competent! They are punctual and reliable and kind. They listen to my dad's requests in terms of what types of care and services would be most helpful to he and my mom, but also proactively make suggestions of their own. They are empathetic and have taken an interest in what seems to make my mom happier - e.g., figuring out what song my mom is humming and tracking down a recording of it. We are very grateful for the support Griswold provides!

While I am a relatively new client, I've been very favorably impressed by the professionalism of everyone that I have encountered on their staff. The caretaker assigned to my wife is wonderful. She is dedicated, attentive to the needs of my wife, and eager to help in any way possible. She has even given me some hints and tips on how I can improve the care that I'm able to give my wife. She certainly personifies the Griswold slogan of "Home Care delivered with Heart" and we are very fortunate to have her assigned to us.

When I was researching home care for myself I learned that rarely was a review written by the person being cared for. My review is. I am 85 and bedridden. I have been in Groswold NoVa East care (live-in) since early 2018. I am treated very well by Christine and her staff. Home care is not an easy service to provide. Yet they address any issue that may arise quickly and with a really caring attitude for both client and caregiver. If a pairing does not fit, they fix it. If the live-in caregiver needs a break, they provide good substitute caregivers. A friendly and helpful voice is always there if you call with a question or need. One more thought: I was able to care for my mother when she needed it, but if I had been unable to do so, I would have wanted people like Christine and her crew to be her caregivers.

You will probably only call Griswold Home Care at a critically bad moment in your life. Lucky for you your life will get a little bit easier when you do. Your loved one will still be sick or in need but the team at Griswold will help you in an efficient, caring, knowledgeable, reliable and all around fantastic way. Our newly married daughter became almost completely paralyzed over the course of a few days with Guillain-Barre syndrome. After weeks in the hospital, she was approaching discharge and we needed to find home care. Navigating through the best caregiver agencies was enormously difficult. To complicate matters, we knew our daughter needed personal care assistance at home, but she refused. None of the caregiver agencies we interviewed had experience with GBS patients and so we were naturally concerned. But Griswold and Stephanie stood out tremendously. Stephanie responded to our concerns openly and with integrity. She understood our daughter’s frustration with dependency and offered her the most beautiful gift of agency. I get choked up thinking about it because GBS had taken away all her privacy, independence, and control. Stephanie brilliantly understood. I cannot express enough the relief and comfort we felt after meeting Stephanie and knowing we found the best caregiver agency. The Griswold CNAs are caring, compassionate, experienced and patient: especially patient, because at the outset our daughter was overwhelmed and sent every caregiver home. But this is where we saw the Griswold team at its most outstanding. Collette, the Care Manager, correctly intuited our daughter’s state of mind, adapted her care plan and found a perfect match for her with caregiver “I”. With caregiver “I” our daughter’s days brightened and she focused on her recovery. Griswold continues to provide our daughter with outstanding care and for us, peace of mind. Their flexibility in accommodating her constantly changing hours, days, and needs is extremely important and very much appreciated. As she graduates this month from in-home PT to outpatient PT, we rest easy knowing a Griswold CNA will be by her side during this next stage in her recovery. Thank you Griswold. I don’t know what we would do without you.
