The staff were very professional at the program I volunteered at. Each participant was offered access to a community gym and the food was exceptional. There were all kinds of outdoor activities that they could participate in and we frequently went on outings. The providers were sometimes rather impersonal and treated the participants like liabilities rather than individuals with emotional and physical needs. I would recommend anyone who lives in San Marcos to apply to the program if he/she is looking to work with some pretty incredible people and build awesome relationships with people who need love.
