When my mom went into a rehabilitation facility, they recommended Texas State Healthcare for her out-patient therapy. They came twice a week for her physical therapy program. They were very helpful because they helped me with some federal programs which we could use. They pushed her to walk and do more for herself. They worked around my schedule and made sure I did the exercises with her. They were very patient in helping her. However, her sessions ran out with the insurance so we had to stop with the services.

About Texas State Healthcare in Missouri City, Texas
We specialize in: WOUND CARE: Our Director of Nursing is Wound Care Certified. The clinical staff at Texas State Healthcare specializes in "wound care". We use 'WOUND-VAC' for those cases that require this treatment. We know that wound care from those patients recovering from surgeries and/or other illnesses is a very high priority. Our team of professionals are trained to prevent and/or watch for ulcers (bedsores) which we know can be frequent and potentially dangerous wounds if they occur and are not treated timely and thoroughly. CATHETER CARE: We provide patients with nursing care to indwelling foley catheters, suprapubic catheters, condom catheters, nephrostomy tubes and patients requiring straight catheterizations. Our nursing staff handles the care, maintenance, changing, proper infection control, trouble shooting and bladder retraining. Our nurses also perform labs (blood, urine) in the home saving the patient and family trips to labs. Most importantly, we are able to decrease hospital admissions for urinary tract infections since we are in the home to intervene early. We provide education to patients and their family on proper care, cleaning, infection control, and how to handle any possible complications. By providing care in the home, we are able to decrease frequent visits for changing out catheters, maintenance to existing catheters, and troubleshooting that can be managed in the home setting. Managing these important things in the home also decreases caregiver/patient stress of getting the patient to and from appointments that can be managed in the home. We believe it is most important to coordinate all care with the Physician, the patient and the family to develop the best care program for each individual patient. VIAL-OF-LIFE DIABETES IV THERAPY SAFETY FIRST: Clinical Rotation Site DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Texas State Healthcare is in the business of caring for homebound patients. We have dedicated ourselves to giving to those patients entrusted to our care, the very best care they can receive from any source. That is our promise to your patients. All staff are employees. We have an RN "on call" 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week. Texas State Healthcare Caregivers All staff are either Licensed and/or Certified.
