It depends again. A few were great but a few of them were very poor. They have to come in and not just sit on the couch unless we needed to talk. They forgot where the vacuum or supplies were all the time. They knew where to go look for all those things. She saw we had a sweeper and dustpan and ask if she could use that do. Others would bug me when they were here to clean and did not remember to put things back. It is half and half. We have had two perfect caregivers but a couple of others were too scared of the dog or were not that good. One caregiver was really good before she had a sickness in the family and had to leave. We were sad to see her go.

We had this company for my mom for about 3 years. From the time we met the owners who came to see what my mom’s needs were we knew they were a caring loving company since they were caregivers themselves at one time. All of the aides who came for my mom were wonderful individuals...especially Amy! My mom really enjoyed the time she spent with them. The aides were always on time and would leave notes of how the day was and what my mom ate. They would get my mom up and dressed, fed and would sit and talk and keep her company for the afternoon. I felt very good with leaving my mom in these wonderful folks care. My mom’s health and mind got worse so we needed 24 hour care. She is now in a facility but really credit daughterly companions for allowing her to stay in our home as long as she did. They also would always accommodate us whenever we needed care on weekends or unscheduled days. I recommend them highly!

I engaged Daughterly Companions to provide 24/7 care for my 100 year old father in his senior living apt he left rehab in 2016. He was recovering from a brain hemorrhage and weakness due to congestive heart failure, with his mind somewhat impaired for the first time ever. This was an extremely self-reliant, proud WWII Navy LT veteran who needed help for the first time in his life. The Daughterly Companions provided exceptional care until Dad passed away 10 months later at 101 under home hospice oversight with Daughterly Companions present until the very end. The owners (Karen M / Karen C) were very responsive to whatever concerns we had, juggling multiple aides, some with nursing backgrounds, to provide the best care possible, dealing with the situation extremely well as his mobility / strength declined and his care needs became complex. All aides and the Karen's showed Dad an incredible amount of care, respect, dignity, and interest in his life as if he were their own father and Dad enjoyed their company greatly. Some nights he would not be able to sleep and would talk hours about his life with a Daughterly Companion aide. One vision that remains with me, on a Daughterly Companion shift change a couple of days before Dad passed on, after he had lost most consciousness and ability to even swallow, I came into his bedroom and three Daughterly aides were surrounding him, one at each side and another at his feet, watching over him, not wanting to leave him. They are true to their company name, a gift from God, and we all should be so lucky to receive such outstanding care at the end of our lives.

I have been using Daughterly companions for a little over a year now for my mother. She has her companion come once a week to help with some grocery shopping and just for some extra company. Daughterly Companions took the time to match the perfect person for my mom in both needs and personality. My mother really considers her companion like a friend that she has lunch with and runs some errands once a week. The staff has been very accommodating with schedule changes if necessary and letting me know if they have any new concerns about my mom that I may not have been aware of. It has been a great experience and I would highly recommend!

Daughterly Companions is there for you 24/7 if you need them. An example of this is my mother and I were going away for the Christmas holidays and cancelled the visits we usually received daily. I had an emergency and I had to call daughterly Companions Christmas day and ask for someone to be there at my mother's apartment for the days that we had previously cancelled.They rescheduled the Companions right away and had caring people to help.
